Fabulous 4 star hotel, excellent staff who really do look after you and excellent food. We certainly will come back for our next Madeira holiday.
Just one issue - the hairdresser is awful. My Wife wanted a wash and blow-dry - he did not listen at all and did a style that he thought she wanted, it was really awful.
Just come back from a wonderful 10 day stay at this wonderful hotel. It was our second stay in 2 consecutive years. My husband and myself had a free room upgrade and it was amazing! We went with our son who like me has coeliac disease and require a gluten free diet. We were helped immensely by Erica and other members of staff who catered for our every need. They have a gluten free breakfast area but we were slightly disappointed to see people using it who shouldn't be walking over with normal bread on their plates which could cause cross contamination for us coeliacs. Entertainment is pretty good and plenty of sun beds too. Hope to return again one day. My favourite hotel to stay in thank you

Clearly there is some very good management at work here. Checked in yesterday room 1475. It is everything I expected. Check in at 2pm was a breeze and immediately you notice how friendly the staff at this hotel are. Incredibly clean everywhere and spotless room. Fantastic food choices and high quality drinks and our five night stay is fantastic value for money. What stands out for me having been to Riu in Cancun is that in this hotel there are no silly signs anywhere. I should also mention the wine, we are wine connoisseurs and the red and rose they serve at dinner are very good. Dinner last night? Well I had Steak and Pepper Sauce which was perfection and the Ice Cream was amazing. Several English speaking movie channels on TV including Sky News and thank heavens there is no awful BBC World. So there you are, if you are thinking of coming here, don’t hesitate!
Amazing hotel. Extremely helpfull staff, they care about guests experience; great food &drinks, no battles for sunbeds at the pool area!!! Rooms cleaned every day. Rather not for small children (limited animation offer) but for teens and adults - really recommended.
