We went for a second time, last time Oct 2025. Again an amazing time. Great hotel, great staff (Aline, Pedro, Rita, Mona) and all others. Always being proactive in their offering assistance before you even know you need it and always with a smile. Great pools, amazing gardens, amazing views, amazing beach 200m away from the back gate, great half board food offering for the AM and PM (AM runs till 11am).. love it. Honest its a great hotel, we did an apartment this time, and wow.. how special was this. Cleaning services were excellent. If you into feathered birds, there are a great selection of them in the gardens. In 10 minutes an app identified 10 different birds types.

Our stay at Domes Lake Algarve, Autograph Collection was truly wonderful and left us feeling relaxed, happy, and very well cared for. The food was one of the highlights, with superb quality, delicious flavours, and an impressive variety of choices. The breakfast buffet was stunning, and we especially enjoyed the thematic dinners, which made each evening feel special.
Our accommodation was comfortable, beautifully maintained, and gave us a peaceful place to unwind after each day. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, always greeting us with genuine smiles and making us feel at home. Their warmth and thoughtful service made our stay even more memorable.
We loved spending time by the pools, especially the beach one, which were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Algarve sunshine. The beautiful gardens and peaceful grounds added to the sense of calm and made every walk around the resort a pleasure. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for such a lovely experience, and would happily return to Domes Lake Algarve.
Location good, 5 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants.
Check in was good, reception explained everything and we were given a list of activities and restaurants during our stay.
Breakfast was chaotic at times staff running around like headless chickens, lots of staff no coordination and ordering and receiving coffee was a lottery most mornings. In general food average for a five star hotel, was plenty of variety but same everyday. Waste food bin in full view of guests, should be out of sight.
Buffet restaurant we used twice, plenty of variety but food quality not what I’d expect of a 5 star hotel.
Spa area, 1 hour complimentary each day (10 minutes enough) , not what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel.
Room was nice with a huge and comfortable bed! Room clean and serviced daily sometimes quite late in the day, and also turn down nightly .
Would I stay here again? No
