As the name would suggest the resort is ideal for those looking to try out their golf skills, with some of Europe's best courses only minutes away. An area of Vilamoura beach with umbrellas and sunbeds can be use by hotel guests (at a fee).
Nice hotel friendly staff,recently refurbished very clean rooms,excellent breakfast good location walking distance to beach 5 minutes. One thing we had with breakfast was the lovely grilled tomatoes where not available every day,we had them twice in a week,and the mushrooms where full of garlic,not really a breakfast item,considering bacon sausage and beans where available everyday,apart from that there was excellent choices,one of the best breakfast we had. And the last dissapointing thing was flocks of seaguls in the pool,which we have never seen in other hotels in Vilamoura,i.e crowne plaza,orTivoli on our last 2 stays this year,hence the 4 star not 5 given,we did not use the pool because of this,we went to the beach everday which was an extra 22 euro a day.
Amazing experience visiting The Algarve in Portugal This is a fairly new Hyatt property and being a lifetime globalist they truly went out of their way to make sure my family and I were well taken care of
Lani in particular who helped check us in really did everything he could - and believe me we had a lot of requests - we visited during World Cup time and he made sure we had an area for my family to sit and watch the games and simply went out of his way with each and every request.
Hoping they do eventually open a club lounge but that won't stop me from returning as we were very well treated.
Fabulous hotel with really good facilities and friendly staff. Huge breakfast selection. The thing that spoilt it was the large groups of men who took over pool and bar areas and were very loud. Staff said it happens during golfing season.
Came here in August for my birthday.. beautiful stay , the best bed I've ever stayed in the rooms was perfect . Carla was very nice she was very accommodating.. giving us the best experience ever , leading us to come back 4 weeks later , yet again Carla was outstanding with her service. From Carla room 109.
This is an older hotel redone as a Hyatt Regency. It is more like a Holiday Inn Resort than a Hyatt Regency. The hotel is fine but not outstanding. The hallways look old and so does the carpet. There is no wow when you open the hotel room door. The parking is a nightmare. The cars are jammed in and everyday we had to call the front desk to get the car gate to open. They need to eliminate this system its way too annoying. Our room faced the casino which I do not recommend as the sun sets on that side of the building and our small room was never cold. We had trouble sleeping at night due to the heat. The pool area is very nice and worth checking out. The buffet breakfast is packed. There is a variety of food. I recommend eating outdoors to get away from the craziness. Where the hotel does excel is the staff and management. As a globalist there was no upgrade but they sent wine and food to the room. It was very appreciated. All the professional staff were so kind (only the young pool boys who delivered food and drink seemed bored and uninterested.) If you like large hotels with a big pool, etc. this should be on your list if priced reasonably. If you want a small charming town in the Algarve or a romantic hotel this is not the area or hotel for you. There are hotels/condos in the old town of Vilamoura which are charming. Hint: If you are driving to the hotel put in the Crowne Plaza which is next door. If you put in the Hyatt you will end up a mile or two away from the hotel.
