The hotel is very nice inside, modern looking and sleek lines in the rooms. Reception was welcoming and a welcome drink of wine is a nice touch, Breakfast had a lot of the usual options and the food was good Rooms and beds are comfortable Had a few drinks in the rooftop bar, good value and great views The only minor problems were maintenance a few of our group had things issue were the rooms, we had wall lamp hanging off another had the door handle fall off but that wouldn’t stop me coming back
Just back from AP Maria Nova we had a lovely 10 day stay , all the staff very friendly and attentive and a glass of wine on arrival was a very nice touch.We booked a room with a pool view which I would recommend, the rooms are spacious with plenty of storage space, beds comfortable and ac was great as it was about 33° heat every day we were there, pool and pool bar both excellent and always managed to get a sun-bed no mad rush in the morning. Breakfasts were very good with lots to choose from with a pianist serenading guests also the ladies receiving a flower at breakfast was another nice touch. Nomad rooftop bar is a lovely place to sit and have a drink at night offering great views across Tavira, we had the tapas on our last night which were very tasty. I’d also recommend the 20yr old Port it was delicious. You could also book a table for a fine dining experience if you didn’t want to go out to a local restaurant. Location is spot on a short walk down to the river, restaurants and shops it’s a bit of a climb coming back up but we managed it and my husband has a dodgy hip. We received a gift of a bottle of wine when we checked out a very nice gesture by the hotel. We would definitely stay here again. If you are visiting Tavira then this is the place to stay. This is our second time at this hotel and would definitely return. Could not fault it in anyway. Breakfast was brilliant and the staff are so warm and helpful. Yolanda the lady that cleaned our room was so helpful and she was great at her job. Very relaxing holiday.
We stayed at the AP Maria Nova Lounge Hotel in July 2026this was our 5th visit since 2024 staying at this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice and with eggs cooked fresh by a both the lovely lady and really nice young guy at the egg station. We love listening to the piano player in the breakfast room. Reception staff are informative and knowledgeable especially Raoul who was very helpful. We love the ambience in the roof top bar and David, Ali and Louis were so welcoming and friendly. We look forward to returning in November with our daughter and her fiance.
Me and my daughter spent 4 nights in August at this lovely hotel. On arriving we were made very welcome, the reception staff were so friendly and helpful . Breakfast was amazing, there was absolutely everything to choose from. Along with the very happy man who greeted us for breakfast every morning there was also a pianist playing , he was excellent ,and it was a lovely to hear him play. Great spacious clean room. Lovely pool area , with plenty of sun beds. We were fortunate to be there when the eclipse happened and so watched it from the roof top bar, great views and atmosphere . I have read some reviews saying that the hotel is at the top of a steep hill, don't let it put you off as it's reallly not ! It's just a very short gentle incline . We never saw any mosquitos either. Tavira is a beautiful place with fantastic restaurants and people. And this is an excellent hotel with a great team of staff.
