This delightful beach aparthotel is located on a main road in the lively tourist hub of Praia da Rocha. The complex is situated a mere 150 metres away from the golden sands of the beach and the crystal-clear waters of the sea. The tourist area with its abundance of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, as well as a vivid nightlife scene, are within easy access of the complex. Guests will find the tourist centre just 2 kms from the hotel, and the nearby public transport stops provide ease of access to other areas and attractions. This modern complex comprises tastefully appointed apartments which come complete with modern amenities for guests' convenience. Guests will appreciate the complex's array of excellent facilities which provide a delightful experience for every member of the family.
Take time to pamper yourself with a visit to the full-service spa. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including a health club, an outdoor tennis court and a steam room. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, a television in a common area and tour/ticket assistance.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel is very basic and dated, despite this our room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels, beds changed on fourth day, pool area was good and we had no problems getting a sunbed, pool bar was fine, the let down at this hotel is the food, we were A.I., food was never very warm and not a great choice, breakfast was ok, snacks out with meal times were only served at certain times, the late lunch snacks at 3.30 the hot choice was burgers or hot dogs, always stone cold even if you went as soon as it opened, other choices were, salad or cheese, they could be doing with serving chips also. Staff were lovely and hotel is in a great location, walking distance to supermarket, shops, restaurants, bars and the gorgeous beach.
Avoid at all costs if you have a family! It's like being at school! No games room as advertised on website. No entertainment on evening, my child has SEN needs and been told to be quiet while playing in the pool! When we arrived the room was only made up for 2 people when we have 4 of us. Had to then make our own beds. Staff are rude making us feel on edge about the kids making a little noise all the time! We feel that uncomfortable in this hotel we staying in our room ordered food and paid for our drinks we came here all inclusive! Absolute shambles of a hotel wouldn't even give it a 1*
Not it for me. Room was disappointingly dated and not very clean I didn't want to use the 1970s furniture/Kitchen. The road noise was too loud and constant so little enjoyment to enjoy the sunny balcony with pretty side, sea view. Food was plentiful but not tasty or inviting. The pool was not lit up at night which added to the dull atmosphere which, coupled with zero entertainment (unless you count the musical torture of the same 7 songs being played relentlessly day and night). Staff were pleasant and the location is good for the beach, town and taking Ubers to explore Lagos, waterparks etc.
The hotel is ideally situated for access to the beach and shops, the hotels appearance was pleasing and the apartment we stayed in was clean and serviced daily. The rooms appeared a little dated and we had a balcony door that did open smoothly but there was air con which worked well although this did not extend to the bedroom which resulted in the child using the bedroom and we slept on the sofa and the u dear sofa pull out bed. Comfort wise everything was fine apart from the beds, they had spring mattresses and were very hard.
Noise levels were good all day and in the evening it was very quiet only marred by motorcycle noise.
Food appeared to be more typical Portuguese which unfortunately did not suit my neuro diverse beige food eating grandson, so we ended up eating some meals out despite being all inclusive. He did enjoy the ice reams on offer and the availability of drinks on request.
There is no entertainment other than pool side music which resulted in little atmosphere
The swimming pool had a swimming attendant for the busiest times of most days, they were no slides and some of the pool tiles were broken which resulted in my grandson cutting his finger within 10 minutes of getting in, first aid offered by pool attendant and a slight cut to his foot later in the break.
Staff in the restaurant were all friendly and polite and were very good with clearing empty plates away
I have mixed feelings about this hotel as there are some good points but also some bad points so this is a bit of a novel. We were all inclusive.
The location is ideal. Just a 10minute walk to the beach and main street with lots of bars, restaurants, tourist gift shops and small supermarkets.
We had a one bedroom apartment and the rooms were a generous size.
The kitchen was well equipped and had all the crockery and utensils you could need for self catering.
The apartment was very dated but it was cleaned every day. Clean towels every other day and clean bedding on the 4th day.
The bed was really comfortable.
The bathroom (which had a shower over the bath) could do with a change of layout as the toilet was a little too close to the vanity unit.
The shower was really good.
The pool area was lovely and had an attendant on at busy times and we had no problem getting sun loungers, although we did get told off for throwing a soft ball to each other in the pool.
The food was average. It was only just warm but there was a microwave to heat it up if you wanted to (not ideal but the option was there) but there was quite a lot of choice and we always found something to eat. The desserts were lovely. The pool bar food snacks were limited but were ok.
The staff were friendly and work long hours.
The indoor bar, located at the entrance to the dining area, only had 5 tall tables with tall chairs and was only open during meal times so not great. The pool bar was open until 11pm (with the exception of breakfast and evening meal times) and at 10.50pm the barman told us we could get another couple of drinks but we would have to take them to our room as the bar area would be locked. We felt like we were being sent to bed.
The gym,sauna and indoor pool we didn't use but believe there is an extra charge for them.
The tennis court was only used twice that we saw in the full week we were there.
There was no atmosphere at all which is a shame because I feel that they could do so much more with this hotel ie update the apartments, have an on site entertainment team for pool games/water aerobics/children's and adults evening entertainment etc. Also leave the pool bar open for an hour as pay as you go when the all inclusive finishes. Most guests don't want to go to bed at 11pm but also don't want to go out to bars at that time either.
We didn't have children with us but there was only a very small play area for kids.
Do I feel like we got good value for money? No.
Would we go back? To the area, yes. To the hotel, no
The Bolt app was very useful for taxis to visit other areas and were very cheap.
