This hotel is located in a quiet and privileged position, between Alvor, Praia da Rocha, and the lively cosmopolitan city of Portimão. In the centre of Alvor, a few kilometres away, there are many shopping and entertainment venues, in addition, Faro Airport is less than 55 kilometers away from the hotel. The hotel is near magnificent beaches, such as the Alemão Beach, Vau Beach, Rocha Beach and Alvor Beach. In the surroundings there are three of the best golf courses in the Algarve: Alto Golf, the Palmares Golf and Penina Golf Course, in addition to various water parks and theme parks. All flats have the amenities required for a comfortable stay as home appliances and cozy furniture, spectacular views are available for some of them from the window.
We have just returned from a week long holiday to Vitors. Our first visit to Portugal and definitely not our last. Cannot fault the hotel at all. Our apartment was huge and absolutely spotless with regular housemaid visits. We never tried the restaurant but the pool snack bar was great for a mid afternoon snack and the happy hr appreciated. Staff very friendly and helpful. Check out at 12 is a bonus too. Only minor complaint we thought there would be more bars and restaurants nearer to the hotel. It is quite isolated but a nice half hr walk downhill to Alvor is what we did every night. There is a brilliant atmosphere with lots of pubs and restaurants all family friendly and good value. Ubers back were around 5 euro. The Chillout bar was our favourite. One night we had 5 beers, 4 wines. Sangria, 4 cokes and chicken wings for less than 40 euros. Leonard the owner is a character def one to visit. We will definitely be back to Portugal and highly recommend Vitors Plaza for a relaxing, chilled, friendly holiday.
We visited as a family and while the resort had some good facilities such as padel/tennis courts and friendly staff the rest of the experience was lacking. Food was sub standard and expensive. Bar staff often charged inconsistently and were not very apt at making simple drinks. Requests were not met, such as a ground floor room and missing sheets/pillows. The resort is on the middle of nothing so you have to get cabs everywhere. The nearest town being Portimao which is the first and definitely the last time we’ll visit here. All in all not the best part of Portugal in a very below par hotel.
We have just got back from our 2nd stay at the hotel. And Wow where do I begin. The staff are absolutely truly amazing people nothing is to much, very attentive and helpful and always go the extra mile. The hotel its self is very beautiful, always very clean and well looked after.
The swimming pool is fantastic and there are plenty of sun loungers to go around. It also a smaller indoor pool. There are plenty of day time activities for the kids and the evening entertainment is also brilliant.
For us the location is superb there is a super market about a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk away. Its not right in the center of Alvor so if you like a peaceful hotel I would highly recommend it.
We had car hire this time and that made life a lot easier with there being 8 of us. Reception will happily book you taxis when needed. And the hotel offers a free shuttle to the beach and local town centre.
The food at the hotel is also very good. Although we stayed self catering, we did buy some meals through the day from the pool bar. The restaurant is also good with dinner only being €26 euro for adults for a buffet and I think and €15 euro for the kids.
Overall if I could give more than 5 stars I would.
We love the hotel so much we are all planning our 3rd family holiday back in 2028. And we can't wait to hopefully see all the wonderful staff again.
Vitors plaza is a lovely hotel with spacious clean apartments and a nice balance of being quiet for people who want a quiet relaxing hotel but also with entertainment during the day and evening for those who prefer activities to join in with on their holiday. This is the beauty of having a hotel outside of a town, its never crazy busy, you can always get a sunbed. and there is quiet calm surrounding areas to explore. The staff are lovely always friendly and welcoming and helpful for anything you might need. It was our 5th visit and I plan to keep returning to this hotel as it has a warm homely feel and we always feel so comfortable there !!
Fabulous hotel. We got upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge. Beautiful view overlooking the pool and housekeeping came every day.
It was the perfect time to visit, not too busy so no mad rush for sunbeds and the atmosphere was chill and friendly.
Bar wasn’t too costly (especially during happy hour) and the cocktails were great. Also recommend the bakery nearby, very affordable with great pastries and coffee.
It’s about a 5 minute drive to Alvor, we used Uber during our trip which was reliable and affordable.
Highly recommend staying here, we’ll be back!!
