We have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel and I honestly could not recommend it enough! The staff were all lovely, the hotel was beautiful and spotless and the rooftop bar/pool area was unreal! We managed to get a sunbed every single day mostly with out an issue, although I would say if you go between 9:30am-1:30pm it is a lot busier and there isn’t usually space, however staff in the morning did remove towels from any beds that were left unattended for long periods of time which we thought was great. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of options for everyone. We had one evening meal at the hotel which we really enjoyed and actually wished we had booked half board instead of b&b it was that tasty! Portimao was lovely in the day time however in the evening we struggled to find any restaurants that we actually enjoyed but maybe we just went to the wrong places so I recommend researching first. Praia da Rocha was great, for both the restaurants/bars and the beach. Only a 15 min walk away but the hotel shuttle was very helpful, we just wished it ran until a bit later so we could head over for dinner, but it was a great service anyway. The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed, we were concerned about noise after reading reviews but we did not have an issue at all. We were also able to use the spa after checking out to get a shower and freshen up which was a great touch! Honestly could not fault this hotel or the staff at all.

The building environment was everything that you would expect from a four star establishment, beautifully presented and immaculately maintained. What makes the Jupiter Marina stand out for us are the staff, they truly made our stay the best it could be. All there to help, have a laugh, and brighten up our day, nothing was too much trouble for them.

The only negative is the pool - people reserving sunbeds with towels, then disappearing for extended periods or being there all day, meaning if you don't get there by 9am, you will struggle to enjoy the rooftop infinity pool at all during your stay.

Great location!
Beautiful location with view on the river. Walking to old town and the beach in 15 minutes. Shuttle service to the beach and great reception.
Stunning hotel on the river
Lovely hotel situated on the river between. Portimão and Praia de Rocha. There’s a beautiful rooftop pool and chilled-out rooftop bar area with good food and even better cocktails. The staff are helpful and polite and the overall cleanliness is amazing. We’ve had an incredible time here and would happily return. Darren and Mandy, August 2026
