Apartment is lovely every thing you need. We have a 1 bed, king size bed bathroom with bath and shower over bath.There are towels but charged if you want more. Second toilet.Hairdryer is big standard for a hotel bathroom. Kitchen lots of crockery, utensils,pots and pans. There is washing up liquid but that’s it. Good size fridge/freezer. Lots of cupboards. Iron and board. Cleaning equipment hoover mop etc. Tv has some English channels but dose loose signal from time to time. There is a sofa bed in living room if needed but no extra sheets. Apartment cleaned once a week and towels replaced. Pool area really lets this place down. Paint flaking off the walls sun loungers stained but useable. There is a couple of umbrellas. The pool is more of a plunge pool not really great for swimming but it’s very dirty not sure if or when it gets cleaned but we have been here a week and still the bottom is full of black bits and dead flies. Good location about 10 minute walk from town centre. Would definitely recommend if the pool is not an issue for you.
Very good yoga/pilate classes. Great instructors. Instruction in English and Portuguese. The hotel needs to vacuum/clean up the carpet daily. We have to put up with dirty floor full of crumbles, dust and sticky food. We paid €530/year membership which is not cheap for an average Portuguese and yes, they raise the price and we are entitle to a very clean floor please, se faz favor.
Great appartments, a lot of space, the big terrace is a bonus and the swimming pool on the roof is such an extra nice experience, to start the day with or end it, only a few people to find there, perfectly for our family. Staff is very kind! Definitly will come back!
Stayed in apartment 595 and was bitten by bed beds on the 1st, 4th and last night of our stay. Didn't imagine initially that the bites where caused by bed bugs as thankfully I've never stayed in an infected bed before, therefore initially assumed it was flying insects as this hotel is advertised as 5 star we thought it would be kept to a higher standard of cleanliness. Confirmed as bed bugs when I found one crawling on my person at the airport on the way home! Also the clusters of swollen itchy bites where in the same patten as bed bug bites according to the doctor. Advised the hotel who blankly denied that I was telling the truth and the booking agent have not accepted responsibility either. Has anyone else had the same experience in this apartment 595 as this is far from acceptable and caused me great discomfort.
I booked this apartment on the premise that it had a swimming pool, the pool in the complex is a lunge pool or dip pool at best not suitable for adults to swim in. I enquired in the associated hotel only to be told there would be a surcharge of €35 to use their pool after already spending over €1300 to stay. I was also informed by Filim at reception that the pools are not really for swimming !! I have included pictures that show our 'pool' approx 8 ft long and I also told reception there was damage in the pool and they are quite grimy as shown in pics. Pretty weak response from a manager and the hotel could also be up for false advertising.
