This hotel is located on the steep coast between Praia da Luz and Praia do Burgau. An idyllic retreat nestled amidst verdant surroundings with a peaceful relaxed and informal setting. The hotel enjoys great road access, 10 minutes away from Lagos and 4 from Burgau and Praia da Luz villages. There are several golf courses in the vicinity, as well as a plethora of other leisure and entertainment activities.
Dip into one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities, which include bicycles to rent. This hotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and barbecue grills.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This place is absolutely gorgeous and has everything, swimming pools tennis courts place for kids to play, Gardens, cliffs, trails, a full breakfast buffet and clean rooms. It is a very large property and is very quiet and seems very private even when there are lots of people there.
The rooms were spotless. Excellent staff. It was the off season so we had no problem getting a room.
The breakfast was not included in our booking. We had it one day and it was an upcharge of 14Eu. It was a nice buffet but it was overpriced.
Our only reason for knock a point off was some items were in need of a repair. A cracked this, a loose that, etc.
But it’s a short walk to the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The Fisherman’s Trail goes along the cliff’s edge from Lagos to Sagres. The grounds are very tropical with giant frogs slowly trying to get out of your way (ok, I saw one.)
Keep in mind there are no coffee shops or restaurants here. We ended up renting a car for our stay to get supplies. Uber eats got us through the first night. There is a laundry but it’s in a mildewy moldy basement that doubles for storage. Our clothes are still dirty as I write this.
I’d do it again. It is so quiet and the price was right. Again the staff was great. They helped where they could.
The room are quant not what I expected but it works the staff and quests are friendly the only down side is you need good walking shoes
The resort is just about on the headland/cliffs with lovely walks east and west. Rooms (shacks!!!) , certainly the ones in the 8xx numbers, are very basic with minimal facilities. They really need updating/ a proper clean or preferably demolition. The newer villa/apartment are very nice. This place is approx 2.5k from Burgau and approx 3.5k from praia da luz. Baptista supermarket in praia is decent, selling most things, but certainly more expensive than major supermarket in Lagos. We made a special effort to visit Lagos intermarche and did a major shop -bolt taxis are brilliant way to get around.
Dirty rubbish everywhere rooms very outdated mould in showers you wouldn't let your dog sleep in beds avoid at all costs stinks of weed
