- Marina Club Lagos Resort

This hotel is located in Algarve, directly on the Lagos Marina. Nearby attractions include the Meia Praia Beach, and the Lagos Museum. The hotel is close to the Palmares and Boa Vista Golf courses and the city center of Lagos. The hotel is just a short walk from the historic centre. There is a bus stop as well as countless shopping and entertainment venues within 200 m from the hotel. Faro Airport can be reached within an hour drive. The guest rooms are decorated in modern style with soft tones, equipped with amenities that make guests feel staying at home. Guests can take advantage of taking a sunbath on sun loungers or relax in the outdoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers spa with an extensive massage and other treatments to boast up the body and mind after a long day.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We booked one of the independent Airbnb apartments which gives access to the main hotel. The apartment was clean and well equipped... three parasols there as well as two airers for drying out swimwear! A roomy balcony area with sun loungers and table and chairs. Space to sit inside and a comfy bed. The location is perfect if you want to be based in Lagos but also have a car and want to explore surrounding places. We had stayed nearby before so knew this was what we wanted. There are several eateries within a 5-10 minute walk and the old town is probably about a 20-25 minute walk. Also only about 10 minutes walk to the train station. We had no problem parking on the road each day and didn't need to use the garage even though we had access to it if we wanted it. The pool is about a 5 minute walk along the marina and is accessed alongside the sushi restaurant. The nearest (really good) supermarket is right behind the apartments and has everything you could want!
First time to Portugal, loved Lagos. Stayed in 4 * 2 bed superior apartment. Huge spacious rooms, very clean. Fresh linen /towels every day. Huge balcony with sunbeds large table/chairs etc. Kitchen very well equipped if you wanted to cook /proper electric 4 ring hob/oven/grill/ microwave. Coffee machine/toaster/kettle. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was adequate with selection of hot & cold dishes. Hot food was rosti/bacon/ sausage/beans/scrambled egg/fried eggs/boiled eggs/ selections of fruit/buns/croissants/pastries/juices/teas/coffees etc etc. It would be good if they were to offer omelettes too for a change. Ate in the restaurant a couple of times, food good but menus could be better if they changed up the offerings now and again.. Bar was nice and barmen good. Pool was very busy and some attention required to fix uneven bricks . All in all enjoyed our holiday and looking to book again for next year.
I really enjoyed this holiday Staff where so friendly Place was clean Location great
The food at the restaurant was not good ! Mabey some people's taste And wish the gym was included
But I would come back due to the other positives
Marina Suite Hotel Review
We absolutely loved our stay at Marina Suite Hotel. From start to finish, the service was excellent, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the whole hotel had such a relaxed atmosphere.
One of my favourite things was breakfast. We sat outside overlooking the marina, which was absolutely delightful and such a lovely way to start the day. The lady serving at breakfast was always so friendly, and the reception team were equally welcoming. There could have been a little more variety at breakfast, but that was really my only criticism of the food.
The staff genuinely couldn’t have been more helpful. We asked for an ironing board and iron, and they arrived straight away. We also had a fuse blow once and, when we mentioned it, they brought us a new toaster straight away. We called reception several times with questions about using the microwave and oven, and they came straight away to help us. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
We stayed in a one-bedroom family apartment in the main building, which was really spacious and comfortable. The two single beds in the open-plan lounge/kitchen area were perfect for our teenagers, and there was plenty of space for all of us. Usually, by the end of a holiday, our room is a complete mess with the kids, but there was so much space that we were actually able to keep it really tidy! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed for self-catering, and the room was cleaned and tidied every day without us ever having to ask for anything.
The location was fantastic. We were very close to town and enjoyed the lovely walk into town every day, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle that the hotel itself felt peaceful and relaxing. It really was the best of both worlds. On the evenings when we didn’t want to walk into town, we could simply have a drink at the marina, which was lovely.
Our apartment was in the main building and opposite the car park, so accessing our car was really easy. The free parking was another big bonus and made everything very convenient.
The pool area was lovely and never felt crowded. It had a very relaxed feel, which made it easy to unwind and enjoy the surroundings.
There are just two things I would change. Firstly, I think hotel guests should have free use of the spa and gym facilities rather than having to pay €10 per person. Secondly, there should definitely be shower facilities available for guests after checkout. We checked out at 12pm but weren’t leaving until 2pm and wanted to continue using the pool, but we had to pay to use the showers.
Apart from those points, we had a fantastic stay. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, excellent service, friendly staff, free parking, a convenient location and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We would happily stay here again
Food is terrible ive had 3 meals there so far it's also overpriced, best to go elsewhere.
