Just checked out of this fantastic hotel absolutely nothing to complain about . 4th time visiting but it’s been 10yrs since last visit and it didn’t disappoint. We were upgraded to a room with a Bailinese bed which we didn’t move of . All staff are very friendly and especially Fananda who kept are drinks topped up all day . Food was excellent . We will definitely be booking again next year .
What a beautiful hotel!
Great location 5 minutes walk from Meia Praia, easy walk along board walk into Lagos and super facilities at the hotel. We used the lower pool (from a choice of 4) and always found a sunbed to enjoy the sea view and sunshine.
Most rooms have a balcony looking over the sea with odd numbers facing the sunrise, while even numbers get the evening sun. The rooms were spacious and very clean.
Breakfast was plentiful with lots of daily specials and Portuguese delicacies.
The whole complex was very peaceful and the staff were amazing - so helpful and cheerful.
Bonuses - free water dispensers on every floor for cold, sparkling and hot water. Fun activities - craft ideas, cookery, fitness and yoga and tasting sessions. All included in the price even for B and B rates. I particularly enjoyed the cocktail making!
On the whole very good, end of season which meant quiet which was what we were looking for. Clean rooms, attentive staff. One grumble was having to get my phone out to read a drinks menu or a snacks menu - bit annoying when trying to put it away intentionally. Suppose it’s a cost save if you don’t have to print anything. Otherwise excellent
Incredible beachfront location, stunning ocean views, and spotless, modern facilities. The staff went above and beyond, and the food was delicious. Perfect for a relaxing getaway... Highly recommended!
We had a nice holiday here, but I cannot rave about this hotel nor say I would return.
The outside facilities are excellent, clean, and attractive, with a great view over the beach and sea. The pools are lovely, and the beach loungers are plentiful and comfortable. The weather was perfect for us in mid to late September, and we very much enjoyed the beach. The walk there is fairly easy and convenient, but you cross a road and a railway track to get there. Two nice little restaurants along the boardwalk. You can get a sun lounger down there or walk a little way to have a stretch of beach for yourself.
The pools are cold, but you get used to it quickly. The lower-level pool is for children, and there's also a beach bar here. Available offerings were lacking, to say the least. The hotel uses a QR code that supposedly shows the menu items. I can only assume there are none. We had "Nachos" which were essentially a few corn chips from a bag with lackluster cheese sauce and guacamole on the side. They could not have put in less effort. I also had the worst Piña Colada of my life here.
We had a ground-floor Bali Bed room. We liked the ground floor and the Bali bed. Inside, the room was clean, with excellent daily maid service and fresh linens. The room shows signs of being tired. Surfaces are worn. The bed was rather hard, and the bathroom has an open-plan design that provides little privacy. The shower floor was spongy, and the lighting was dim, to say the least. Two sinks were spacious with storage underneath. The water dispensers freely available in the corridors were great, an idea more hotels should adopt. Loved this.
Breakfast was the usual well-stocked buffet, with indoor or outdoor seating. The indoor area for eating was a little cafeteria-like, fine for breakfast but lacking ambience at night. Nighttime food choices were repetitive and lacked imagination. Desserts looked good, but lacked flavour. We tried the à la carte restaurant one night; the atmosphere and food were better, but the menu was very limited.
All staff were very nice and very helpful, always doing their best.
