The resort offers you a hotel, apartments and independent villas. Adding this year, a new wing – Portugal – the starting point to this magnificent journey around the world.
Porto de Mós beach is 900 Mts, Lagos city center is 3 km and Faro International Airport is 90 km away.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional amenities at this Mediterranean hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Stayed at the Cascade Wellness Resort to take in the various sites in the Algarve. The Algarve was spectacular. From the cliffs, cave, small towns, water, sunsets...it was all fantastic. But our room at the Cascades must have had a somewhat recent (recent because it was not repaired) floor water damage. It probably started in the bathroom. The entire entrance way into the room was buckled up by at least 2 cm in several places. The molding between the tiled floor and the carpet was now no longer adhering in several places. The food, drink, and service was very good to excellent there and it is a convenient location, but the room we were in should have been decommissioned until repaired. That is a failure of the management of the Cascade.
This property has a 5-star main building with cliffside views but the accommodations tell a completely different story. We stayed in a villa that seemed more of a 3 star and it desperately needed attention. It was glaringly obvious that management is neglecting current maintenance and upkeep because of a major renovation that is scheduled for next year (a point the staff repeatedly emphasized to us).While the impending update is great news for future guests, it doesn't justify the current lack of care for paying customers today. We were originally booked for 4 days, but the state of the villa was so disappointing that we checked out after just one night (first time for this). Specifically, there was mold and bugs in the bathroom and the couch in the sitting area was very badly stained, but generally there was overall additional upkeep required. On the positive side, the staff were very nice. They seemed to understand our issue with the current condition of the villas.
A wonderful resort with a stunning view of the ocean. The breakfast had everything you could ask for and the pool areas were great with lots of beds. The staff was nice and helpful with everything. We had a great stay!
The resprt has a lovely, calm atmosphere in general. Great pools, large spacious rooms, and a particular call out to the very helpfull and friendly staff! The front desk, the spa, the varios restaurants and bars, everyone is extremely nice and welcoming
If you need more than pools, it's only a 5 Euro taxi fair to the centre of Lagos, so there are plenty of options if you want to get out and about too. Be warned there is no beach at the resort, and the only one within simple walking distance involves scrambling down a very precipitous slope. A 5 Euro taxi jouney sorts that issue too though.
We did have issues one night with an annual event the resort was running, which involved loud music blaring frustratingly close to our appartment until 11:30pm, with no warning. The events manager was very apologetic afterwards though, and assured us that it had been meant to finish at 10:30, but things went wrong, and in future years it'll definitely be done by 10:30. So hopefully not an issue for anyone down the line.
Other than that the stay was excellent!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful Resort with Exceptional Hospitality
We had a wonderful stay at Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, with spectacular ocean views. Our room was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the excellent breakfast buffet and the convenience of having a very good restaurant right on the property.
What made our stay particularly memorable, however, was the genuine care and compassion of the staff when we experienced an unexpected medical situation.
One evening, my husband needed to go to the hospital and was there for several hours, returning to the resort quite late. The front desk staff were aware of the situation and were very attentive.. When we needed to return to the hospital again the following day, they once again made sure we were taken care of.
While we were at the hospital that day, I received a personal phone call from the resort manager checking on us and asking if everything was okay or if there was anything the resort could do to assist us That thoughtful gesture meant so much during an already stressful time. It was clear that their concern went far beyond simply being good hotel staff—they genuinely cared about our well-being.
The resort also graciously provided us with a late checkout given the circumstances, which made an already difficult situation much easier for us.
Cascade Wellness Resort is beautiful, but it was the kindness, concern, and personal attention from the staff that truly stood out. We felt cared for as guests and as people, and we are very grateful for that.
We would happily return to Cascade Wellness Resort and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay in Lagos with a staff that genuinely cares about its guests.
