In the heart of Faro, the gateway to the Algarve: This contemporary style hotel is situated in the very centre of the city, overlooking the harbour and the Ria Formosa Natural Park. The historical and commercial centres with a large variety of restaurants, bars and shops are just a few steps away. Right next to the hotel is a bus stop providing easy access to the airport and the beautiful Faro Island with its sandy beach. This property offers 134 rooms overlooking the city view or marina views. In-room amenities include LCD TV, safe box, minibar, air conditioning, direct telephone, hair dryer and personal hygiene products. The hotel has restaurants serving local dishes while the bar offers contemporary and relaxed atmosphere with exotic drinks.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
From the minute we booked in to the minute we left the staff were very pleasant and very attentive. The room we were in overlooked the marina and had a balcony. It was spotlessly clean. The breakfast room view was stunning. The breakfast choice was amazing. The pianist played very skilfully. Ladies get a flower on Sunday morning. The roof pool was being renovated. The hotel provided a boat service to Faro beach. Following a slight mix up with times they actually sent a rib to collect my daughter and I. The pilot gave us a great talk on the flora and fauna of the lagoon. Top marks Eva Senses
We have stayed many times almost yearly for my birthday or our anniversary and have always enjoyed the marina view rooms and also the terrace bar overlooking the marina and the food and friendly attentive staff Also enjoy the rooftop pool area. however this year the terrace bar was empty most days the food menu has changed drastically it is very limited.customer service and guest interaction has dropped dramatically .The rooftop pool area is closed which I was unaware of which was such a shame. The hotel did offer guests transportation to the beach for those that enjoy the beach . During this trip we also stayed in Ap Maria nova in tavira a sister hotel which is far superior in all areas I am sorry to say as we have always enjoyed our stay it almost felt like an Airbnb and not the level of guest care we have experienced on past visits.
Lovely hotel, very accommodating staff. Rooms lovely- view over the marina superb for watching the world go by. A few reviews may be unhelpful…. There is parking outside, it’s well signed and places became available throughout the day just ask the hotel team for a sign to put in your car. The other car park opposite has a true entrepreneur in place- beavering away showing people where spaces are and helping reverse safely. Making a few bucks on the way. Bravo!!! Good on you Lovely spot, didn’t eat in restaurant as only open Fri and sat. But I would recommend. Thank you for making our anniversary special with gifts in the room. Very kind and we will not forget this gesture.
We received a last minute email before our arrival informing us that the rooftop pool would be closed, so naturally we were a little disappointed. However, from the moment we arrived, the staff completely turned that around. They couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly, or helpful.
One of the highlights was the complimentary private boat transfer to the beach, which was a lovely experience. The team also kindly made some changes to our booking free of charge, which was really appreciated.
Our only slight disappointment was that our room didn’t have a balcony, as it would have been lovely to sit outside in the evenings. That said, we made good use of the rooftop terrace instead. The room itself was spotlessly clean, exactly as expected, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
The only minor negatives were having to wear a swimming cap in the indoor pool and paying a cash deposit for the pool towels, which seemed a little unnecessary.
Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, although if you choose to sit on the balcony, keep an eye on your food a seagull nearly stole my breakfast while I went to get a drink! We found the evening meal a little limited as we’re quite fussy eaters, but once again the restaurant staff were fantastic and happily offered us an alternative menu.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel. I’ll admit I’m usually very picky when it comes to hotels, but this one was as close to perfect as you can get. The location, decor, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service were all outstanding. I honestly don’t recognise some of the negative reviews, as our experience was one of the best we’ve had. We also felt we got excellent value for the price we paid.
We are already looking forward to staying again in the near future.
The roof top pool is closed. A holiday disaster for us. No mention of this by the hotel Very very poor.
