Tucked into a cliffside overlooking the glistening Atlantic Ocean, the hotel is a jewel in the Algarve's crown. This resort is a 10-minute walk from the beach, and guests can explore more of this stunning stretch of coastline on the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. It is 54 km from Faro International Airport and public transport is available just a few steps from the hotel.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice by the bars and restaurants and experience fine drinks and authentic local cuisine in one of the restaurants, with freshly caught seafood a menu highlight.
Whether guests want to pamper theirself with an organic seaweed treatment in the spa, invigorate theirself in the pool, dive beneath the ocean or organise a game of golf, the hotel's incredible facilities and staff will make theirself stay a memorable one.
The hotel has several spacious rooms on different floors, with most offering a balcony or terrace to experience the spectacular views. Decorated in elegant colors to represent the sea, the rooms are equipped with modern amenities including an electronic safe, video on demand, a Nespresso coffee machine, tea facilities and complementary WiFi, to ensure a home experience stay.
Cannot think of a nicer location for our anniversary. We booked 4 rooms between our group of 8 and all very pleased with our choice.
Great stay here and a special mention to Maria in the kids club who was really good with the kids. The activity schedule was top class too. A wonderful hotel all round winner!
Like quite a few of the other reviews, not a 5star hotel. Maybe 4 at best. Service inconsistent throughout. And more importantly, entire property is under construction both inside and out, and not minor renovations, we're talking the complete removal of steps and access down to the beach. Arguably one of the largest selling and marketing features of this hotel was non accessible without any disclosure. Instead you'd have to walk into town to get to any beach which is public vs the one you paid for to be on top of.
So much potential with the property and location itself, if only they tightened a few things up to be more refined. Oh, and be confident with your property and respect consumer disclosures. People should know that the main attraction of a private beach and cave access is unavailable and the rate should be discounted to reflect this, I'm sure the investment you make today will generate ROI far greater in the long run than the potential lost revenue today (whether from reduced bookings or reduced nightly rates you charge), but at least you can take pride in the standard and business practice of your hotel.
If you have been to five star hotels, you’ll know as soon as you walk in that this is not a five star hotel. The hospitality is not up to par with what you pay for. Pool staff is disorganized, staff at the front is not welcoming as soon as you walk in. They wait until you get to the desk to greet you. The sushi bar fish isn’t fresh at all it sits in the sun all day.
I’m only halfway through my stay here, but I’m so pleased I feel I can already give feedback on this hotel.
Despite the initial quirks, once settled, this hotel is simply exceptional! The first impression was odd:
So here’s the tip: All restaurants are included in the boarding options. However, all requires booking except for the Grill by the swimming pool. The restaurants that require booking DEFINITELY are worth it! The One is simply exceptional and it is quite incredible it is included in the boarding. All other options are really good including the walk-in grill - I cannot recommend enough the fresh grilled fish, or surf and turf. It is by far the best food I have had from a hotel/resort. The breakfast is again the best in class! Delicious fresh fruits, omelettes (very well) made on order from the lovely & friendly Senegalese chef (Sorry I could not read his name badge) who cares to ask for the done level of eggs rather than overcook them. Which leads me to the staff - The ones at the reception are super friendly and THE ONLY ONES to trust for information. I would not try and stop a passing employees as we received contradicting information from them. Bruno from the Grill is soooo friendly, funny and always give us such a warm welcome, as well as very useful local tips. The swimming pool & area somehow looks on the smaller side compared to other resorts we have been, but it never felt crowded nor did we ever had difficulty finding seats. The view from the swimming pool is exceptional. The hotel also offers a free Tuk Tuk service which is quirky and fantastic. Uber is cheap so it’s easy to get around, but it’s definitely a plus.
Past the initial quirks, this hotel is simply exceptional and way exceeded my expectations! Food & service are best in class which makes this resort a no-brainer in case we are looking to come back in the area.
