We stayed in June 2026 for 1 week and incorporated the black and white festival. We were there when a group of Spurs fans were staying, and I can say they were nothing but polite and friendly. They did have a gathering one day, which was fabulous and inclusive to all. No one was left out , all guests (apart from one rude Arsenal fan) enjoyed the day I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. The breakfast was fabulous and the hotel clean and friendly. They have a really great saxophonist on a Tuesday afternoon around the pool, the vibe is fantastic Will definitely stay again

Hotel Mirachoro Carvoeiro never fails to impress, it reminds us of a Cornish seaside town but with a lot more to offer. We stayed for a week for the Black & White Festival our third year in a row. The location is around 45mins - 1hr transfer from Faro Airport, we used Pelican Transfers again for this efficient, polite and professional highly recommended and extremely easy to book, the hotel location absolutely spot on a short walk down the hill to the beach, bars and an array of restaurants offering different variants of cuisine. but a long walk back up it after a few drinks and one of many wonderful meals we had out.

The breakfast at the hotel was good, as Brit i would like to see available some pork sausages, if they can be on offer downtown in the restaurants surely they can be available at a 4* hotel even f if they are on request only at breakfast.

Also location convenient by taxi to some of the most beautiful beaches also along with Carvoeiro beach a short walk down the hill, but the sea is deep for children straight of the beach as it drops off.

The rooms have undergone a basic refurbishment project since our last visit in 2025 but this has made a significant improvement, they are spacious, clean and tidy, with working AC and an excellent fridge. Bathrooms i am led to believe after speaking to management are due an upgrade this November 2026. We have only stayed on the first floor so reviewing on what we have come a custom too.

The only downside to these rooms are space to store suitcases, hair dryer is woeful please pack your own and the safe is an extra charge which in my eyes should not be aloud. Pool towels at 20 euros each which is refunded at check out as long as you have your towels and card.

What we would like to see also is a couple of bottles of water available for guests on arrival in the fridges of the rooms, this is not an expensive ask to the hotel but something they should really consider.

Waiting timings for room availability can be fairly long especially arriving before 2pm but you can secure your bags and use the facilities with the excellent changing rooms available.

The pool is fantastic, with the swim up bar, entertainment on a Tuesday with a pool saxophonist. The food from the pool snack bar was excellent, fresh and plentiful reasonably priced along with the drinks.

The overall atmosphere at the hotel is excellent no big groups of teenagers or screaming children, but grown-ups mixed nationality but mainly Brits we have had an amazing time over the past three visits met and made friends with many now returning friends yearly.

This brings me onto a comment made by an individuals review relating to a large number of THFC fans gathering at the hotel at the same time every year for the Black & White weekend. They have caused no problems whatsoever over the years we have been going, the first year in 2024 to Carvoeiro i thought oh no what have we done, but how wrong was we. they are all pleasant, all grown adults attending a reunion with their wives and girlfriends and even families we noticed this year. they make conversation, they are not rude but polite and will make the time to give you the time of the day seriously nothing to worry about and to be honest it was great to see i am not a football fan i prefer Rugby and Cricket and yes there were some foul language amongst them only and but the noise was kept to a minimal and yes there are some big chaps with tattoos. This year for around 10 minutes at the end of the day they gathered at the far end of the pool by the sun loungers looked like some speech took place and followed by a couple of songs and that was it, they then returned back to the bar and sun loungers all peaceful, so please never judge a book by its cover and one persons bad review on this as this does not always reflect everyone else's fantastic experience. i will add also that hotel management consistently observed the one day and i am sure if they was not happy then they would of intervened.

This year was the first year we witnessed a small pointless verbal exchange in the pool between one of the fans from THFC an obviously a rival fan who to be honest what we witnessed caused the problem himself. It was clear he was saying the wrong things to clearly provoke a reaction, it was funny to witness. Also a number of them attending the gathering where not staying at the hotel, this was not really an issue in some aspects as its not all inclusive and extra sun beds where made available to other guests by the management team. BUT at the end of the day if they are coming to the bar buying drinks and snacks and enjoying themselves with no harm to anyone which is what we and many others witnessed from outside their group we are content with this because the money generated keeps the improvements to the hotel going and staff in their jobs that can only add a benefit to our experience and stay at the hotel. Most of the THFC fans left the week after the Black & White weekend and the place didn't feel the same if i am honest the same as the year before.

Others staying at the hotel on a regular basis over the same week or the past few years and this year will support this comment i am sure of it. So please don't be put off by one individuals comment this is not what we have witnessed and others attending that are not part of the THFC fans. Last year after speaking to some of them at breakfast they had booked a private resort so the pool was practically empty so this is the first year outsiders visited the hotel instead of a private resort for the day.

You will have a fantastic trip and stay, especially if you book over the Black & White Night weekend which can be very pricey though compared to weeks either side of it..

We have already booked for next year and we cant wait again to get back out there.
