This hotel is situated in Carvoeiro, close to the town centre, Carvoeiro Beach, and Paraiso Beach. Various restaurants and bars as well as a bus stop are located nearby. Vale Centianes Beach, near the famous rock formations of Algar Seco, is 10 minutes away by foot. Also nearby are Vale Covo Beach and Vale de Milho Golf. Faro Airport lies some 60 km away. The hotel offers 130 spacious guest rooms. Each room is fitted with air conditioning, hair dryer, satellite TV, balcony and bath amenities. This comfortable hotel offers outdoor and indoor pools and a sun terrace with loungers and palm trees. Guests can enjoy a hotel spa and wellness area to relax during the stay. A massage is also available for guests who need to immerse in a completely relaxing experience by the team of professional therapists. It is a perfect place to enjoy the magnificent environment that this place has to offer.
The property is very clean. The staff members are very pleasant. Breakfast was very good. There was a good choice and empty serving dishes were refilled quickly. The breakfast room was very busy at times but space became available fairly quickly. The staff were protective in clearing tables when they became available.
The pool area is very good and the pool bar is popular. They do food there around lunchtime. There was a nice vibe around the pool. There is also a bar within the hotel building.
The location is very good. Close to a number of bars and restaurants and there is a little grocery shop close by too. There are many more shops and restaurants down the hill and on the Main Street. The beach is there too.
This hotel is in need of a refresh. The sink in the bathroom was chipped & the wood was rotting/cracked in places. The front desk staff was not helpful. Towels for the pool needed to be gotten from the front desk no where near the pool for a 20€ cash deposit each! But the breakfast is good.
The Mirachoro is at the top of a hill - but it’s not a mountain and it’s not overly steep. The room was clean and comfy but the hairdryer was horrible. Take your own hairdryer girls! The breakfast was fantastic - kept clean and well stocked by a very attentive staff. The pool was well looked after and we had no trouble getting sunbeds. Tuesday afternoon is saxophonist day. The pool bar had a tendency to get busy but the food is well worth a look. The bar staff along with the rest of the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Yes the hotel is getting ready for a refresh but this was our third visit which must tell you something?
Firstly I want to praise the hotel and staff particularly Gisela, Alex, Yolando, Usman and Roaid who are all very friendly and professional and make the stay more enjoyable. Now to the negative - do not stay here the first half of June especially the few days leading up to Black and White night when the hotel is overrun by Spurs fans who have a yearly reunion. They have been here previous years and it was tolerable as their reunion was held off site. However, this year they held it round the hotel pool! I completely agree with the review by stoney0404 which sums it up but I would like to add some other points. Firstly, around 25 non-hotel guests arrived early, securing sunbeds round the pool. This left hotel guests struggling to get a sunbed until the staff brought extra out. They also had the cheek to go into breakfast with their friends. As the day progressed, and the alcohol consumed became greater, they became loud, rowdy and rude. It ended up feeling like we were actually at a football match, with football songs being loudly chanted, which included bad language! This was totally inappropriate for a family hotel with a few young children around the pool. Even when we went back to our room, with the balcony door closed, it could still be heard. Deborah W's review is clearly one of these Spurs fans and stating "they were nothing but polite and friendly" is a complete lie. Other guests did not want to be included and no other hotel guests enjoyed the day - especially the Arsenal fan you mentioned who's wife was verbally abused with extremely foul language and I heard a couple of Spurs fans saying "let's see if we can make the Arsenal fan cry!" This atrocious behaviour was not stopped by the hotel manager who didn't care, after all, his pool bar was taking loads of money. He did ask the fans to take down all the banners and Spurs towels hanging up around the pool, but when this was ignored, he did nothing else. We usually had a cocktail round the pool with friends late afternoon, but this day we went out for a drink to get away from this. I will return to the hotel but will definitely wait till after Black and White night as the Spurs reunion start going home then. Be warned!
Just returned from a 2 week break at the Mirachoro. The hotel is clean and spacious, rooms are clean, well serviced, comfy bed, good air conditioning with safe available at a small cost. Breakfast is such a variety of food there is something for everyone. The pool is a good size, clean and plenty of sun beds. All of the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble do not be afraid to ask. Just to try and address some of the less favourable reviews Yes is does rain in Carvoeiro, occasionally Yes the Mirachoro is at the top of a hill, but plenty of taxis if you need one. Yes things do go wrong at the Mirachoro but the team their all go above and beyond to rectify any issues, again do not be afraid to ask All in all a wonderful 2 weeks and we will return
