Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very disappointing holiday. We booked all inclusive through easy jet which was expensive for 2 people. I am coeliac which the hotel were made aware of but there was no effort made at all to accommodate my dietary requirements. There were 2 members of restaurant staff who tried their best to help me but there were such poor options for GF that I barely ate making it extremely poor value for money. I had to ask for GF cakes, these were not left out, the GF bread was awful and I just lived on salad, fruit and cake for a week. One day the chef did make me some very nice pasta but most of the time it was just plain rice, same old pizza on request, salad or chips which I had to request separately. I did have a coeliac flare up as I had eaten a dessert that was not GF, the labels were not clear. Basically do not go if you have dietary requirements. As I say this holiday worked out expensive for 2 people in August as all inclusive but you were made to feel inferior with tiny glasses of drinks compared to other “paying” guests. There were no snacks at the pool. The bed was also incredibly uncomfortable. We went to Eden in June and it was amazing and cheaper than Ukino in August but the service there was impeccable. I would not recommend Ukino and would not return
We travelled here as a family of 5 containing 3 teens. The apartment was amazing, huge with 2 massive balcony's with sea views, air con in each room with separate controls for each room, we have never stayed anywhere with so much space for 5 people. Be aware no lift here so you have to carry your cases up flights of stairs. Pool area very clean, always got a sunbed but by 5pm the whole area was in the shade. We always got a table in the restaurant easily but the food was a bit samey. During the day the only place to get a drink was the pool bar and the restaurant, the only place to get food at all times was the restaurant. Once the pool bar shuts at 7pm, you get drinks from the sweet spot as part of the all inclusive which is a public bar attached to the complex. After 8.30pm getting a seat on the tables and chairs made from crates(very uncomfortable) was impossible. The live and very loud music went on until 11pm. Most nights we had to sit on our balcony as nowhere else to sit. Early nights for small children would be impossible due to the noise from the entertainment. 5 minute walk to local beach which wasn't that big, 5 mins also to only shop. I don't think we would return here in the future.
This was the 2nd time at Ukino Terrace and again it was a fantastic family holiday. We where in a 1 bedroom appartment which was clean and a very good size. Well done to all cleaners involved.
We went as Self Catering as we like eating out in the area, some fantastic places to eat nearby and at nearby town.
Sweetspot is a great place for snacks and drinks and has a great vibe about it. Prices very good
The pool area is chilled, Easy getting sunbeds and entertainment team work hard and like a laugh. Only thing I would say is that softdrinks at pool bar our priced at 3.50 for a small drink in a plastic cup. Sweetspot sells at 2.50 and you get a tin which is far better value. This should be looked at as we know so many who went over to sweetspot for drinks instead.
Overall, A great place for a budget family holiday if your happy to get a bolt and travel around the area
Our flight landed early so got to the hotel around 12 o'clock was told we couldn't start all inclusive till 3pm when we checked into our rooms (been to many all inclusive and nothing give your bands then never known the 3pm rule) Room was 641 and what a nitemare taking all bags up them stairs but never the less we had a lovely pool and sea view which was nice. Room - we had a one bedroom and they was big but our kitchen/lounge room was all covered in ants when going to reception they said (its unlikely theres ants and thats normally on the lower floor not top ) they was ants and when inspection themselves after complaining again they gave us some ant spray to use (redicoulas) we did ask to move and they said would be 3pm when check in 10am we went to the front to wait for a uber for our excursions and they said if we wanted to move rooms would have to be now I explained that you hadn't said that at 9.30 this morning when complained for the second time and we had stuff booked but they wasnt bothered just expected to drop everything well sorry it doesnt work like that when we have spent 150 plus uros on activities. Food- edable but rubbish , yes thay had chips pizza ect but come on who really wants that every day even kids got fed up n board , not the best all inclusive ive been to infact its the worst. Entertainment- started around 9.30 - 10pm and our son was tired by this point but its that loud we could hear it on the balcony i didnt mind that I was dancing on the balcony to the music and having a rave haha was great. Pool - nice pool but abit more Entertainment would be great they did aqua in the pool and was great but the other games like football and ball catching was okay not the best. Housekeeping - we dont like people coming into our rooms when in holiday and the day before the last they decided even tho our sign was on the door thwy would come in and clean ,, clean if you call it that , floors wasnt sweeped , balcony not done , yes they gave fresh bedding , new towels and loo roll but nothing else was done , they did move stuff around tho , my sunglasses was on the side of the bed and come back n couldn't find them , they was in top draw , my sons teddies was moved from 1 place to another no need for them to have been touched , did go and complain and at first called me a lier saying I must of not put the sign on when they investigated they apologised and said that wont happen again so be careful as far as im aware nothing was taken but why could in our room do half a clean if the sign is on the door
Local to the beach and was lovely , did a few trips to loacal towns via uber and bolt quite cheap so keep that in mind
Overall had a good holiday , wouldnt return but we do go home with lots of photos and memories and that all that matters.
3 star hotel is pushing it would say a high 2 and thats being nice
Absolutely disgusting uncooked , inedible food! The most miserable bar staff ( pool bar) I have ever come across - definitely in the wrong job! Cockroaches and bugs in the room. Very poor cleanliness throughout/ rubbish bins not emptied in rooms. You have to queue from around 8:45 every morning if you want a sunbed or you’re on the floor! Dreadful! Never, ever again!
