This luxurious hotel is conveniently located a mere 300 metres from Vila Senhora da Rocha beach, a white sandy beach where guests can find their balance between body and soul and connect with the wild. Nearby to the property, visitors will find numerous stunning beaches like Armaçao de Pêra or Grande Poente beach. The nearest airport to the premises is Faro international airport, which is at an approximate distance of 55 kilometres away. The spacious, luminous and well-equipped guest rooms and suites are the perfect spaces in which visitors can unwind and recover their energy after a busy day. Most of them even have a balcony or terrace with spectacular views to the Atlantic Ocean. There is a large outdoor swimming pool with a fun children's area, as well as a mini club for the little ones.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have visited this resort 3 times in the last year and it never disappoints. The food is great, always lots of choice even for us picky eaters with allergies. There are 2 different buffet restaurants which we are both great. My son loves the pools and the slides and has always made friends which is his favourite part of his holiday. One thing that may let the holiday down for others is the evening entertainment. Other than the white party we found the evening entertainment poor but as this isn't a top priority for us this doesn't bother us. It may just be something to bare in mind if entertainment is high on your list of priorities as there is a small area on the rooftop for kids disco and some payable activities such and bouncy castles and then the ending entertainment doesnt start until 10pm in the indoor theatre.
Absolutely fabulous hotel /complex could not fault it, went with family everyone enjoyed there stay. Food excellent entertainment excellent 👌 staff perfect so helpful.I have read some negative reviews I can only assume these reviews were about another hotel it was certainly not the one we stayed in.
Our one-week stay at UKINO Palmeiras Village Family Resort was exceptional from A to Z. The entire team—from reception and bar staff to the restaurant crew—was incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. As vegetarians traveling from the UK, finding great food options can sometimes be tricky, but the culinary team went above and beyond. A huge thank you and shoutout to Cook Shamershing, who surprised us every single day with incredibly delicious, authentic Indian curries tailored for us. To top it off, the restaurant manager personally came over to serve us, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. The hotel is fantastic for both families with children and adults. Traveling from the UK, it was an easy two-and-a-half-hour flight to the Algarve. The only small challenge for us personally was the 10-minute walk to the beach, as my wife and I both have knee issues and found the walk a bit struggling. However, everything else at the resort was top-tier. We highly recommend this hotel!
All these comments are my own opinion I will go through the good and bad bits of each category-
Good bits:-
The location of this hotels is a great area it’s a €10-€15 Uber ride to Albufeira which is a nice little town with a rustic feel. The beach here is wonderful and lively with a lot of people enjoying the sun and a very scenic view from all angles.
Atmosphere is of the usual you would find at any other European hotel music around the pool during the day and the entertainment team try there best.
Rooms at the hotel are maintained to a very high standard always cleaned and bed freshly maid daily if you wish. The bed we found were very comfortable but each to their own preference. My wife especially approves of the shower and hair drying aspects of the room.
The Food there was a different cuisine every night ranging from Asian to Portuguese and even Mexican. The table staff were very nice and pleasant. Nuno who is one of the managers of the different restaurant was by far the best he tried his best to cater for our son who has CMPA (Cows milk protein allergy).
Bad bits-

Atmosphere - Now I’m going to try and put this as politically correct as I can… I am British and I felt as soon as some members of staff as well as certain guests found that out we felt very unwelcome at the resort because we don’t speak French, Spanish or Portuguese. Now this might be me just being funny but I didn’t enjoy the holiday because I always thought I was being looked at differently to others. The pool “life guards” also are rude, arrogant and talk down to you like you are uneducated which I for one didn’t stand for which I don’t think they liked. There were choice conversation that I had to have with two of them. (One of which stated that I can’t accompany my son who is 18 months old on a slide which was in the splash park area. He stated I can’t accompany him which I refused to abide by that rule when he tried to tell me again I let my son go down the slide on his own and as I expected he slipped and bumped his head. Luckily he wasn’t hurt but wasn’t really upset so after this I said “I am going to accompany my son and if you don’t like this go and get your manager and we will discuss this in private that you are putting my child safety at risk” to which he responded “ I don’t think this is necessary I will allow you to accompany your child”) This is after spending 6 days at the hotel accompanying my son and not once he’s this been “brought to my attention” which is ridiculous in my opinion.
Noise level- at night isn’t the best I’m not sure if it is the hotel next doors entertainment or the bar near the beach’s music but it is loud at continuous until about midnight.
The food - Now again this is probably just me but with each night consisting of nine separate options two of which being chicken nuggets and fries every night. My son who could only eat these two things because most of the other food had milk in or some form of dairy product (cows milk protein allergy) The food options were not clearly labeled for allergy related issues or even segregated into different areas (which I for one think would be better).

Overall this holiday was not what I expected after paying in excess of £2000 for a week. I will not be returning to this resort nor any of its chains in any other country.
