Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Cannot recommend the Papermoon restaurant enough, the service on arrival is first class, the attention to detail with their hosting skills are seriously one of the best services we’ve received in a restaurant, the food was amazing (wine is pricey!), the decor/setting of the Sea Sky is stunning. Neha and Raffa are staff that stood out for us, Neha has served us everytime we’ve been, she’s amazing! And it’s dog friendly!! 🙌
W Algarve resort was amazing. The facility is clean, well-kept and very well-run. We were traveling with two small children, and we all had a great time. The pool has a nice setup that both children and adults can enjoy it. We tried several of the restaurants and they were all very good. The concierge team was knowledgable and helpful. All the staff were very professional. We will definitely return and highly recommend W Algarve.
Great stay in late June at the W Algarve in the Residences. Grounds are beautiful with friendly service throughout. Excellent breakfast was a great start to each day. Easy walk to several beaches and a short taxi into town. Beautiful resort in a beautiful location.
Beyond ridiculous. I’m a platinum elite member and stay in MULTIPLE properties throughout the year.
During our 3 night stay day 1 housekeep started ringing the bell and enter the unit from 9:30 am onwards multiple times we said no thank you they keep ringing and wake us up they also don’t provide any do not disturb signs. Day 3 again they ring the doorbell open the door coming in and saying “reminder check out is at 12” when platinum check out is at 4pm guaranteed.
Upon telling front desk they kept saying “well send the engineering team to check the doorbell” as if housekeeping keeping wasn’t physically ringing it they came into the room.
They provided zero property tour upon check in and overall very very unprofessional. Will never return to this property

Rooms 5/5 A lot of attention to detail, nice furniture and toiletries. Spacious balcony, world class housekeeping service from Eloise (Room 4334). Good welcome amenity. Only criticism towels quality were more of a 4-star hotel.
Breakfast 3/5 It looked good visually but quality of products weren’t in line with a 5-star hotel hotel. Viennoiserie was particularly poor just frozen croissant and pain au chocolat, the banana bread and chocolate cake were quite vulgar and lacked finesse. Coffee and juice were good but difficult to get top ups. Supervisors more focused on setting up tables and seating guests than monitoring service quality.
Facilities 4/5 Gardens need a lot of attention, it seems they have been neglected for some time, many empty areas, ugly bushes and weeds. Decking around the swimming pool was in very poor state. We witnessed several people get hurt by sharp wood or raised screws. A real health & safety hazard that needs addressing without further delay. Jacuzzi jets didn’t work and it had many missing tiles.
Location 3/5 In the middle of a soulless residential area without any quality restaurants or shops nearby. Beach cannot we used due to rocks.
Ambience 3/5 Not the typical W crew mostly elderly American guests and families with prawns. Very odd.
Service 4/5 Thank you to Victor (breakfast barista) and Diego (valet parking). Generally people tried to please. We asked for 30 minutes extension to check in time and it was denied, quite disappointing for Gold Elite tier.
