We're staying here for the first time now. We were given a free upgrade from a studio pool view to a standard apartment. The apartment us very spacious and has everything you need and has a large balcony. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect - a quiet area but only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the main strip. The hotel is very clean and pool and garden areas are very nice. We're staying on bed and breakfast basis. The breakfast is very good. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.
Quite honestly I cant really fault the hotel !!! Greeted on arrival with a friendly receptionist, our room was very spacious, so well equipped! Lovely kitchen, comfy beds and a fab shower in the bathroom.Huge balcony with table, chairs and sunbeds. Pool is a very good size, lovely and clean , however its very cold 🥶. Makes a massive difference not being able to reserve sunbeds , no need to anyway as there's plenty..we came down at different times of the day and there was always loads to choose from. We loved having a drink in Stone bar in the evenings. Beer on tap is Sagres and the cocktails are amazing...special shout out to David! Lovely barman . The entertainment team was run by two lovely guys Claudio and Roshan, who put 100% effort into the activities and getting to know the guests 😊 We used Ubers to get around and cost between 3 -5 euros to Old town and marina ..so very reasonable. We had a snack in the Stone bar which was nice and reasonably priced. We also had the bbq on the Friday evening..which we didnt really rate ..food was luke warm , and meat wasnt overly tasty ..tuna was quite nice though. If I had to return to the Algarve I would definitely use Vila Petra again .

Never had a bad stay at villa Petra , hotel is always spotless, staff are wonderful right down to the cleaners who do an amazing job. Love the entertainment especially in the Stone Bar during the evening Claudia does a grand job. Roll on May 27 when we come again
