We are a family of 4 and we stayed for 8 days. The hotel is very nice and all the staff we encountered were really friendly and professional. Our room was clean and well maintained however there was very little storage despite there been lots of room for more. The beds in the bedroom were comfortable for our children however the sofa bed me and my wife slept on was very uncomfortable and my back suffered. The north pool was great and there was always sun beds available. Our children had a great time in the pool however heated pools were mentioned on the website but they must not have been switched on because the pool was Freezing! Overall we had a really nice relaxing week thank you Patio Suite.
Lovely hotel, really clean. Great food choices. Staff very accommodating and efficient. First time in Portugal and would definitely return. Recommend.
Hotel is OK but the pools are too small for the number of people staying here and also no adults only option as children use both pools so not a relaxing place to be.
The buffet food was generally Ok but had to wait a long time to be taken to a table as only one member of staff has to take everyone to their table.
Not a great all inclusive experience and you need to take Ubers or have a car to get around.
This hotel is in a great location for local restaurants, beach and cheap taxi rides away from attractions such as slide and splash, Albufiera marina and old town. The reception staff are lovely and can arrange trips for you. We had 2 weeks self catering.
LOCATION Just 5 minutes walk and you have some great restaurants and a good supermarket, there is a square 10 minutes walk away also with a supermarket and good restaurants, one place does incredible ham and cheese toasties to take away. Kozy brunch cafe is great for breakfast and Salt and Peper, Rustico and Olympic great for dinner. Dinner for 2 adults and a child sardine past bread stater, main course and desert with some drinks cost around 71-80 euro depending on how many drinks you have. English breakfast at Kozy was just 6.90 euro.
ROOMS We were chuffed, bathroom kitchen bedroom and living area much bigger than we have been used to, Kitchen well equipped had a toaster kettle microwave and a 2 ring there hob. Bathroom has hand soap etc. there is an iron, clothes dryer and hair dryer. The balcony was a good size, plenty for 3 of us to have breakfast on.We had a room on the 5th floor at the back which was nice and quiet. Rooms have a free safe and free aircon. Rooms are serviced daily.
POOL Although there were 2 pool areas both with children’s pool too, we stuck to the North pool as the pool bar was outside and no need to dry off. No trouble getting a bed and an opening time stopped the 4am reserve a bed types. Pool is cold which is lovely in the heat….. my tip is to jump straight in, lovely and refreshing. Pool itself and surroundings are spotlessly clean. Polk bar was expensive but the staff were great.
We don’t go all inclusive in Europe as we like to pick where we eat and try different places. All inclusive was a little more than we spent and the hotel was expensive The pool bar charges €13 for a toasted sandwich and chips, we ordered 3 toasted sandwiches extra chips with drinks at a cost of around €52 on the first day, look above at the cost of a 3 course meal with drinks and in the square we had 3 toasted ham and cheese sandwiches with a bear for €10.60 to put that in perspective. This is where the Patio lose out, we would have had lunch there every day had it been reasonable. Beer €3 to 3.30mls approx compared with € 3.60 for a large beer anywhere else or €0.80 for a supermarket 3.30ml can.
That being said I would definitely stay again self catering, it’s a great hotel with lovely staff. Thank you Patio
Had a fabulous week here during the school holidays. It was busy but never felt too crowded. At times there was a bit of a queue for the restaurant but we preferred this than the usual all inclusive free for all. The food was great and my two (sometimes fussy) children had no complaints! The staff were so warm and friendly and always happy to help. Would definitely return in the future.
