Woke up at 6:30 am which isn't an unreasonable time. No shops open in the area. So l go to reception for water. He states the vending machine is cash only. I only took card on the holiday. (Never had an issue with this before) | ask for if the bar/breakfast area is open so I can get a bottle of water as it's about 30 degree heat. The simple answer was no not until later on. No help or anything. For a BOTTLE of water. It's 2026!

Haven't been to Portugal before and this seemed like a good deal . I would say its midway between the old town and newer part. It's down a cul de sac . There's no entertainment and while a TV in room only 3 channels in English- 1 being cnn. At this time it does seem a fairly quiet hotel which for our son is good.We had requested just a shower ( our SEND son has mobility issues so an over the bath shower is awkward) and not near the lift...but got neither. The "apartment " consists of one bathroom and one bedroom come kitchen- almost everything you'd need if cooking indoors and didnt mind sleeping in the smells.There is just about enough space . We had two beds together and son was on a single sofabed. Bathroom clean and has shower gel /hair shampoo,plus hairdryer.Have a balcony over looking the pool. It has aircon .We're on a B&B basis which ,while classed as continental, did have everything you could think of,from fruit juice,cereals,cooked items, toast ,croissants...so filled us for the day. The pool is nice with plenty of loungers/umbrellas and a good sun trap...sadly many don't realise they don't want to be hit or splashed by balls being thrown around ,our son wouldn't enter the pool due to this. Quite slippy around it when wet.You can pay deposit to hire pool towels and to use an indoor pool you MUST wear a swim cap. We couldn't add drinks to our room which was a small issue when went to the pool with no cash to buy a cool drink. Staff in bar,dining room friendly and helpful. You would need 2 prong plugs and no USB ports to charge phones so adaptor needed.
