The Muthu Clube Praia da Oura provides two swimming pools set in lush tropical gardens and guests can also take in the Algarve's year-round sunshine from the hotel's sun deck. Dine on tasty Mediterranean cuisine at the hotel's Jac's Restaurant and enjoy a choice of bars, including a poolside bar and a bar with ocean views.
Standard terrace rooms are bright, comfortable are well-equipped with one double or two twin beds, a sofa bed in the living room, en-suite bathroom and a fully furnished kitchen with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and stove. We had a lovely meal at el Mexicano restaurant, food was great and came out quickly , we were given 4 extra beef tacos which was a nice touch and staff were very attentive. Our main server was Chetani Madhav and he was wonderful.
Don't go to this Hotel!!!! Booked 2 rooms all inclusive with a seaview but when I got there they didn't have a clue about my booking, they then transferred us to mgm monnica collection, the rooms were dirty, far away from the hotel and we had views of trees instead of the sea which we paid for. We complained to reception but they said they had no more rooms available on the second night €500 got stolen from my room, I instantly contacted the hotel but they didn't give a damn!!!. I was told I had to go to the police myself and they can't do anything. I spent 8 hours in the police station reporting the theft and I didn't even get an apology or an update to if the hotel investigating etc. I went to reception to show them my police report and they didn't care and they said they haven't even looked into it. The customer service is a joke at this hotel. Anybody thinking of booking here don't they offer zero support
Served by Chetan very attentive and prompt service by him and the whole team. Food was lovely and filling, recommend. Nice food good beer.
We had a lovely meal at El Mexicano. Some reviews we read prior gave us low expectations but to be honest, the soft flour tacos were lovely. Meat was juicy and favourable. Chetan was a great host. He made sure we were well looked after and attended our table to check if everything was ok. He also refreshed our drinks when they were low. We really enjoyed our meal and service was very good.
Not family friendly & certainly not worth the 4 star rating. Wouldn’t have booked if we were aware of this.
We had a good time as a family with young children however the hotel definitely suited for more 18-30 year olds. Most of the guests were in big loud groups, quite intimidating & inappropriate for children. Very loud between 12-4am every morning, as guests come back from the strip/clubs.
Restaurants were okay, nothing special. Evening meals in the main restaurant minimal and repetitive.
The staff were 50/50. Receptionists were very rude however the bar/restaurant staff were excellent.
You are required to pay a £100 deposit, which you do not get back until 4 days after you check out. The rooms are dated, tatty & some facilities faulty.
Overall, would strongly not recommend for any families & I urge the hotel the change their description. Very misleading & unfair
