Location is second to none rooms very dated and really need a cosmetic update On arrival to room the smell of smoke ( non smokers) was bad but CARLOS at reception offered a different room on next day or our room to be re cleaned which it was and to be honest the smell still lingered but that said the food was ok usual AI overall a bit of TLC and it would be worthy of its star status and we did enjoy our holiday
Where do I start. This excuse of a "hotel" is an absolute joke. Do not waste your time staying here. I was overcharged by the hotel, reception staff promised me I would get a refund, it's never materialised. They ignore all emails and refuse to communicate with you. The rooms were disgusting, cockroaches in them, bathroom full of other guests hair. I was given vodka 3 times at the bar when I do not drink, I spotted them doing it, and refused to take the drink. My friend received numerous insect bites from the stagnant shower water that was outside his apartment. The food was awful, nice if you like pasta and fish. The restaurant looks like something from a hotel 20 years ago. The tables are worn, and the dining area needs modernising, in fact, the whole hotel needs modernising. It's definitely not 3 star or 4 star. I have never stayed in a hotel like this before, and I never will again. Customer complaints are ignored by the staff, and once they have pumped you for as much money as they can, they're not interested in anything you say. Furniture in the rooms and the bar area is plastic seating which is absolutely worn out, yellow weather stained. It's disgusting. I will NEVER return to Portugal again. If I were you, I'd give this place a wide berth. Don't agree to any additional charges even if they tell you that you'll get your money back, because you won't. The local tourist board should be made aware of this place as it's a total joke of a hotel. I could only give them one star when it should be minus 10!
This hotel is dated, and a bit quirky. But I love the character, staff and location. Needs a bigger pool and more beds. It's on the beach , but bar on beach u have to pay for + sunbeds. Foods ok. Good selection, but, restraunt is quite small for the hotel. It's clean and friendly, perfect for family holiday. 15 min walk along beach to old town.
The location is fabulous, very welcoming, energetic lots of daily activities for all ages and flexible schedules. The music was good every day. The rooms were spacious THE BATHROOM WAS MASSIVE and well organised. Overall good value of money . Excellent daily cleaning. Beautiful panoramic view from the restaurant as well as from the rooms. Miguel the staff member was very professional and welcoming. The animation staff were fabulous, very friendly. The food was amazing
I was quite worried about this hotel after reading reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We were given a beautiful sea view room with everything we needed. There was also a fridge and kitchen if we needed it. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed every 2 days. The room was clean and spacious. We were worried about the food especially but there was nothing to worry about. There was plenty of choice, breakfast was plenty with the normal bacon, eggs and sausages with fresh fruit and yogurts and pancakes which our daughter loved. Lunch had as much choice as dinner with meats, fish , salads. There was always chips available and plenty of puddings and ice cream. Dinner was pretty much the same with some theme nights such as American with burgers and hot dogs etc. There was always plenty to eat . They kept replenishing anything that had ran out. The location is fabulous the beach is a minute walk down a hill and the old town is a 10 minute walk along the beach or an uber is very quick and cheap. There are 3 pools . The main pool with music was great fun with activities and dancing in the pool at 12 every day. This has a bar with all inclusive drinks and baguettes and pizza and toasties. They have a cocktail of the day. Sun beds appear available throughout the day. You dont have to be mega early to get a sunbed. The other pool is quiet and serene hidden away to the side of the hotel. It is lovely with sunbeds available all day but obviously there is no bar there. There a third in door pool which is very warm and also very quiet . All pool areas kept very clean and staff friendly and helpful. The only downfall is this hotel is not suitable for anybody with mobility struggles as everything is scattered around and there are hills and cobbled areas which make it hard to walk on . Do not have any complaints.
