This modern hotel enjoys a wonderful location between the Pine Cliffs golf course and a peaceful green pine forest. The hotel lies just 800 metres from the renowned Falesia Beach and is only 8.5 kilometres from the lively tourist hub of Albufeira. Faro Airport is at a distance of 20 kilometers from the hotel and the Roman Ruins are situated just 10 kilometres from the hotel, while Loule Castle is just 14 kilometres away. This magnificent hotel tempts guests with the promise of unrivaled facilities and service for a truly unforgettable experience; it is surrounded by peaceful, tranquil gardens exuding serenity and offering the ideal escape from daily life. Guests will be impressed by the unprecedented style and beauty of the hotel, which features a contemporary design and elegant interiors. The guest rooms are beautifully-appointed offering a haven of luxury and comfort in which to enjoy quiescence and a restful night's sleep.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We are just home from our 8th visit to the Falesia over the past 13 years and our last visit was 2023 and we were on a B&B option. We feel the hotel has moved in the right direction and had a much better feel about it. The building improvements; reception, bar, restaurant, spa, indoor pool, gym, gardens have made a wonderful difference. The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, well cooked. 3 large coffee machines, new outdoor seating and dining chairs/tables are really good. Bar service was slow and food was mixed! Staff generally were very good, the hotel was immaculate. There is a much calmer feel, more Central Europeans and a younger clientele too making it seem very chilled.
The TUI Gold experience has gone and I feel this is where folk are drawing on their previous experience(s) when it was very much a British hotel! Top Tip - Don’t be put off by the negative comments and feedback; this is an excellent hotel and venue with so much more on offer in a cracking location.
Very poor for a 4×. Won't be coming back. Met people who had been coming for many years. All said it has gone down hill . Very disappointing.
Just had a 10 night stay at this hotel and wanted to leave a short review.
Leading upto the holiday, we had seen some of the negative reviews from long time visitors and suspected this wasn't going to be because of the hotel itself, but more the gripes of people who have seen a favourite hotel have a rebrand and it is no longer what they previously experienced.
And we were right.
The hotel itself is pretty much faultless. We stayed B&B, so can only comment on the morning food, but we found it perfectly fine. Our room was a studio overlooking a golf driving range and it was clean and very comfortable. The pool and garden areas are clean and well maintained and are also provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, which suits us.
Our only negative observation was the prices in the bar, which were pretty steep.
Location wise, it was perfect for us. A relatively quiet area, but with a small smattering of restaurants and bars, which were great for us in the evening.
Access to the beach is a steady 20 minute downhill walk, which is obviously a bit more taxing on the way back.
We'd probably advise using Uber rather than the hotel shuttle, if you are thinking of visiting Albuferia - its much cheaper.
Overall, its a great hotel, with friendly staff and people shouldn't be put off by the negative comments on here.
We stayed late August for 10 nights in a junior suite. Suite was lovely, plenty of space, lovely views over breakfast area and next door driving range. Stayed bed and breakfast. Breakfast was good, lovely seating area available outside, sometimes in little alcove between planting, very relaxing start to the day. Loved the frogs in the ponds! The gardens around the hotel, breakfast area, herb garden and gardens are beautiful, loved watching the 3 lady gardener's keep them looking good. The garden areas also had beds so a good alternative to sitting around the pool, good for natural shade and it all smelled amazing. Could do with more umbrellas around the pool. Used shuttle bus to go to Falesia beach, great beach but facilities weren't great. Walk through pine cliffs resort instead or along road to Barranco? Beach instead, took us 15 to 20 mins. Uber were cheap for getting around to Albufeira, we'd give it a miss next time though! Local restaurants near hotel are really good, bit rustic but food fantastic. Don't miss local resort Ohla de Agua, pretty cove with handful bars and restaurants. Hotel bar was expensive and the entertainment wasn't to our taste. Lovely stay, glad we ignored the negative reviews.
We stayed at this hotel for 12 days.
The bedrooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable, the shower is hot and powerful.
The breakfast is very good lots of choice, but the evening meals not so good.
The salads were lovely as were the deserts but the main dishes were poor. The small pieces of beef and chicken on offer every night were tough, fish was also on offer but I decided not to try it ( after sampling the beef and chicken)
The other options on offer, I found very hit and miss, so much so that 6 days out of 12 we ate out.
The lunch time menu was the same everyday, wraps and toasties etc except for Thursday and Sunday when BBQ was offered.. But this wasn’t a bbq as such, it was bbq chicken and ribs etc cooked in the hotel kitchen!
The entertainment was poor. There was no atmosphere at all in the bar and we were treated to a different lady singer every night, who all seemed to sing the same set, which included John Lennons “ Imagine” and Sade hit “ Smooth Operator” ….. EVERY Night!!!
It is a very quiet hotel, no quizzes, no Aqua, no music around the pool bar.
The staff in the restaurant and bars still seem to be learning, (yes it is September) so no change there since the reviews I read in May.
This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful gardens, and very clean. But we would not return.
