Eden Resort

Amazing holiday, everything was brilliant, food, rooms, staff and facilities. Shuttle bus was great as was kids club

It is extremely rare for me to give a hotel a 5/5 rating, but I genuinely cannot fault Eden. It is, without doubt, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in.

The staff are incredible. Every member of the team was friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. There was one gentleman in the café who never seemed to crack a smile, but we actually found it quite amusing and it became a bit of a running joke during our stay! Aside from that, the customer service was exceptional throughout. A special mention goes to the lovely gentleman with glasses working at the bar (I wish I'd got his name) and the wonderful lady in the Eden Café with the short bob hairstyle who was always asking about the football and making an effort to chat with guests.

The entertainment team were fantastic and a huge highlight of our holiday. The biggest surprise was seeing Victor, who we remembered from a holiday in Portugal three years ago. That man is an absolute star – whatever you do, keep hold of him!

The hotel itself was spotless. The cleanliness was outstanding, and our room was cleaned every day at roughly the same time, which was really helpful. The food was very good for an all-inclusive resort, and the drinks were excellent. We especially loved the frozen Piña Coladas and Daiquiris!

My son is 9 years old and described it as "the best holiday ever," which says it all.

The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Albufeira Old Town and the Marina, with timetables available on the app after check-in. It made exploring the area so easy.

The circus tent entertainment venue was fantastic, although at times the music was a little loud and could perhaps be turned down a notch or two.

What really stood out was the care shown by the staff. One morning, a mum sitting near us asked for some hot water to prepare a bottle for her baby. The staff immediately offered to bring her breakfast, coffee, and anything else she needed. It genuinely brought a tear to my eye seeing such kindness and attentiveness.

We also booked a day at Zoomarine (which is an absolute must if you haven't visited before - it is worth the cost!). We booked the day through the hotel and they booked our taxis and even provided packed lunches. There was a €3 charge for the bags, but they were delicious and saved us spending money during the day.

The swimming pool and splash pool were excellent, and we really appreciated having access to the quieter pool when the main areas became busier. It's worth noting that guests need to respect the rules there – it's designated as a quiet pool for a reason, so children should keep noise levels down and relax while using it.

Overall, Eden delivered on every level. Fantastic staff, excellent facilities, great food and drinks, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We'd return in a heartbeat. And as Victor would say, "The fun never stops!" 🎉
