Baia Grande Hotel

What can I say, except that it was incredible! It was our first time in the Algarve and we loved it. The scenery is magnificent, the people are lovely, and we stayed in a fantastic hotel. The staff was very friendly. We met Ingrid, who was mostly in charge of drinks. She was always smiling and it was a pleasure to chat with her. There was also André, who warmly welcomed us every morning and evening to note our room numbers for breakfast and dinner. The meals were excellent and varied. In the mornings, we could eat with the rising sun, and in the evenings, on the terrace, a gentle breeze felt wonderful after a hot day. João Pedro made delicious pasta, and it was always a pleasure to chat with him. Finally, there was Luccas, who worked at breakfast and organized activities for the children. He often asked us how we were doing, and, as with the others, it was always a pleasure to talk with him. The pool was very pleasant as it wasn't noisy and there was always space to relax. Every Thursday, there was also a barbecue by the pool which was very well organized and fun to participate in. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and highly recommend this hotel!

Had an amazing stay here. Location is perfect if u prefer the quieter life. Spent many hours relaxing around the pool. A short walk away is some of the most amazing beaches I’ve ever seen, definitely worth the walk. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxed. The cleaning staff are very respectful & work so hard. We had an issue with no milk in the room for tea & coffee but spoke to reception & they sorted it for us straight away. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast has so many options. There’s something for everyone. All staff are so friendly & welcoming. The pool area is never overcrowded so it’s easy to keep an eye on your children in the pool. The hotel has a free shuttle bus to take you out or you have the option to hire a car. We chose to hire a car which the hotel helped arrange for us. Overall I had an amazing experience here.

We had a good time. Staff at restaurant were friendly and helpful, specially Andy, he made our stay so much fun with his positive energy. Food overall good, however lack of labels, most of it did not have or wasn't descriptive enough. Clearly if you have any allergies or intolerance the labels wouldn't help you. Water only in bottles, so you have to pay for it. The bar at the pool was the best part, amazing service, very welcoming - very helpful regarding where to go, how to get there, specially Kauan cheerful and lively, also Ingrid, they were always smiling, making the best drinks, making sure we were being taking care of. Food at the pool was great. Pool area very clean and easy to find a spot to sit down and relax, read a book with so many different options of chairs ( sofas, rocking chairs) lovely size pool. Downside is that smoke was allowed, breaking the beauty of the place, did affect my ability to relax. They have an area for smokers in the pool area, however, in a open space with wind, it's like they were beside you. Reception staff not very helpful and rude, hard to get information from them. They charge for pool towels (deposit charge) very cheap ones, but you have to use cash. When we said we didn't have any cash with us the lady just looked at us. Later, we managed to get some cash, with a male manager (he was very helpful and friendly) they have an ATM machine, outside attached to the hotel, beside the newsagent, She could just have told us that. Great location, close to a beautiful beach, clean rooms and no problems with noises. In general people great atmosphere.
