As if there wasn't already enough to recommend it, the Auramar Beach Resort provides all-inclusive accommodation, making the stay as comfortable as the views are spectacular.
All the twin / double rooms are air-conditioned and come with private bathrooms and balcony. Rooms are kitted out with satellite TV (4 UK channels), fridge and a room safe. Irons and hairdryers are also available on request. Partial sea view rooms are available, you must book a superior room or pay locally for an upgrade if there is availability. Please note the superior rooms offer the same amenities as the standard, however the room will be located on the 3rd floor or above. Standard rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors.
There is a whole world of entertainment waiting for you at the Auramar Beach Resort too. With two exceptional swimming pools, children's pools and a heated indoor pool, you can enjoy a variety of swimming experiences inside, outside and in the sea. With a sauna and relaxing massage service also available in-house you can ease away any lingering tiredness if you've swum a few too many lengths. There are plenty of activities to enjoy on dry land too: ranging from billiards to tennis, and featuring a mini golf tournament every summer.

The Auramar Beach Resort is superbly positioned on a rocky headland overlooking one of the Algarve's fabulous golden sand beaches. It is located just 50m from the beach and 5 minutes from the 'strip' and from the centre of Albufeira, it offers guests an ideal location to enjoy the best of the Algarve's well known attractions.
My husband and myself loved this hotel came back again in July as it was so wonderful and we so loved the ambience of the lovely staff and the Portugal people in general just for a week. We live in the Isle of Man so our holiday was with fly direct a direct flight package from the IOM to Portugal so convenient. Again another lovely stay it felt like home we even managed to get a room on the same level. Another great touch is when you arrive you get a small paper bag with cold iced tea sandwiches and fruit so nice when you arrive late in the evening. The weather was much hotter than May and I am pleased to say after e mailing the hotel directly managed to get a room with the balcony on the same floor not so far from the restuarant.Would still recommend a taxi transfer to the airport as it is much quicker than a coach and the hotel will pre book it for you. Decided to write this review late as panning to fly back for a week next May on my own as sadly my husband died unexpectantly last October a week before his birthday and our wedding anniversary and another holiday so plan to be brave and travel on my own as you do feel safe at this hotel plus my window cleaner is Portugese and comes from a small place not so far away from this town and he encouraged me to go A big plus to was the cleanliness of the hotel and a decent shower and good fridge.
Fantastic! For a two star hotel, this place is brilliant. I travelled with a companion on an all inclusive basis. The rooms and hotel itself are very clean. The staff are brilliant except one particular person in the poolside bar of the name. ‘P’ who was surly and bordering on rude at times. this was balanced out by extremely helpful Staff, especially on the reception. P In the poolside bar spoilt the reputation of the staff as a whole. A small grumble also that the music in the poolside bar was a little loud at times and myself and my companion had to shout over it to have a conversation. .The pools are brilliant. Atmosphere is great not too rowdy yet quite relaxed. There are hotel activities if you choose to engage .The Food Is more than good enough, tasty well cooked and nicely presented with a good variety each day.. My only grumble is that some of the floors outside are a little slippy underfoot when wet… But that is true of many places. There are quite a lot of steps so it doesn’t necessarily suit those using a wheelchair or with a push chair. There are stunning beaches right on the doorstep.This place is absolutely excellent value for money and offers you a safe comfortable holiday in a great environment. The old Town is a 10 minute walk away or a short uber ride where it offers traditional shops, bars and nightlife. ..whereas the new Town…… Well I shall just say it isn’t my cup of tea! Probably great for young people though. This was my fifth time as a guest, and I will most definitely be returning!

Nice bar outside of this hotel called Frankie’s we had a couple of nice meals there with entertainment the old town not far about €6 in a cab

No water in room on arrival I’ve been to a lot of places around the world and they always leave some bottled water whatever the hotel rating
No tea making facilities but when I asked for a kettle they gave me one
Hair dryer also has to be requested
And also no shaver point in bathroom
Only four coat hangers for both our clothes again had to request
Towels are on request at poolside bar so didn’t take my own but when we went for them they had none so had to bring bath towels from room this wasn’t just us quite a few people had the bath towels on the beds I was afraid to hand the beach towels I got after complaining to the rep in at the end of the day as the next day we might not get fresh ones
The pool side bar food was very disappointing went away in June the poolside food was treble the amount and much more varied and better quality
And the pool bar does not open until 11am even though a lot of people were around the pool from 9am
The small poolside toilets where clean but the hand wash was not filled the whole time we were there even though the cleaner replaced toilet rolls so if you go around that pool take your hand sanitizer
The bedrooms are very outdated this hotel was built in the 1970s and I think the decor is original
And don’t leave anything snack wise out as the ants are out in force
We have stayed in 2/3/4/5 star hotels and I think this hotel was extremely lacking I did report this all to the rep as they like to know
Perched on a hill this hotel is 3 star rated, so reading some reviews was apprehensive, I had no need to worry, the staff were first-class although the rooms were a bit dated, they were cleaned every day without fail and towels replaced. The food was buffet style hot and varied, and the staff were very efficient always something to take your fancy. The grounds were well kept and always clean, also the pool was spotless with plenty of sunbeds and shade, the pool bar was fast and efficient and also served snakes if you didn't fancy the restaurant at lunch time. The beach was a short walk away although not easy if you were unsteady on your feet, it dose not deserve some of the harsh reviews.
Unfortunately, our experience at Auramar Beach Resort has been extremely disappointing. Our room was infested with ants, yet five days after reporting the issue, nothing was done. We also endured loud shouting and music from guests below us around 4:30 a.m. every night. Despite repeated complaints to reception and even calling security, no action was taken.
After seven nights without proper sleep, the most disappointing aspect has been the hotel's failure to address either issue. A beautiful location cannot compensate for the lack of basic hygiene, peace, and customer care.
