This was my second time at the hotel after visiting last October. The lasting impression is disappointment at the significantly negative change in atmosphere and marked decline in standards. We stayed 10-14th August 2026 as a family of six.
Previously, hotel staff had been accommodating, polite and kind. However, this visit, many of the staff were very rude and hostile in their attitude. The water fountain outside wasn’t working throughout the whole of our stay and this meant you had to ask at the bar if you needed water and were made to feel an inconvenience for doing so.There was never any issues previously with the drinks policy as part of an all inclusive stay. However, we were only able to have 2 drinks each, even when the whole family was sat in the bar clearly visible, everyone had to go to the bar individually, as you would probably experience in a much lower-rated hotel.
As a family we are polite and treat others how we wish to be tested. We actively chose to return to the hotel as it has previously offered a family orientated and relaxed holiday experience . My niece is autistic, it was distressing to see her flinching when the only “available seating” was right near the loud kitchen area. Some staff repeatedly slammed plates and glasses around creating an anxious and stressful atmosphere. There was an obvious lack of staff. When we politely asked to sit further away from the kitchens the following night we were met with rudeness and hostility by one particular staff member. This same individual shouted at us another evening insisting ‘It’s impossible” to accommodate sitting together as a family of 6 as the hotel was “busy”. As a family we felt anxious every meal time, as there was so many issues with seating and large queues. To be greeted with hostility and rudeness when asking politely and trying to explain our request for a table for 6 in slightly quieter areas due to my niece’s sound aversion and significant needs, was absolutely appalling. My niece also has a very severe tree nut allergy and carries epi pens. During previous visits staff checked on the ice cream ingredients for us and were very accommodating and understanding.This time a female member of staff shrugged at us, saying ‘I don’t know’ when I asked if a cake contained nuts. All food this time wasn’t clearly labelled as before, and this is absolutely paramount for guests.
Sunbeds were not a problem previously, but was a hugely negative issue this visit. People were going out before 7am booking sun-beds with single hotel towels; after querying this, notes were put on saying after half an hour towels would be removed, but this was never unforced once during our stay. This negatively impacted on the whole pool experience and it was ridiculous to have to resort to sitting on the floor.
It was a disappointing and regretful experience to see the decline of this hotel. The Pool snack bar and main bar were regularly unmanned with guests trying to locate staff during the day. The overall negative atmosphere effected the whole family I can’t see us returning which is a real shame. A once happy and accommodating hotel has really lost its spark.

Absolutely appalling service. Would not recommend anyone to visit here. We spent the whole duration eating out as the food was undercooked very raw bland and not fresh. The staff were all rude and we made complaints to Jet 2. Please do not waste your money here a 3 star would have been a lot better than this hotel.
Arrived at hotel about 12, told room wasn't ready until 4pm. The receptionist said she would ring us. We went back after 4pm told the room had just became available, we were given room 203, the whole balcony was blocked by an olive tree, absolutely no view! We also had little room as two air conditioning units sat making loads of noise and taking up too much room. We complained to a Manager, who did absolutely nothing. The room was ok, plenty of space, the bathroom however was very tired the toilet every time you flushed sounded like a cat being strangled!!
The staff at this hotel had no interest in British guests, the animation team only spoke each day in Portuguese and French, making joining in impossible. The aqua aerobics each day was impossible, there would be loads of kids dive bombing into the same area where this was being done, this should had been cordoned off for this period.
This hotel was definitely not British friendly, we had gone as a 4 older women thinking schools would be back, however tons of kids, whose parents left to run feral whilst on their phones!!
Food wasnt the best, swimming with oil, and for some unusual reason, chopped pineapple was added to every salad!! The restaurant would close off sections randomly 🙄 no air con there either, think they thought if you were too hot you would leave quickly! Also our 2 cousins who had booked a week there were allowed a specialist meal, but as we were there for 5 dsys we were not!!
This hotel is a concrete block, stuck.out of the way, never seen the sea or beach ⛱️ in the 5 days we stayed. Would I return absolutely not, we loved Ben the barman on the pool bar, but no other member of staff were remotely friendly or even cracked a smile!
How do I rate this hotel 0. We arrived at 22.30, the male receptionist was not the friendliest. When we went to room 247 it was like something from the 70s. Rugs on the floor, low bath with some type of tape stuck to bottom so you wouldn't slip. A show you had to climb in the bath and it blew water everywhere. Ants on the floor. We gave up complaing as nothing got done.The View was of waste ground,and some very nice villas that seem to have parties every night. The entertainment was aimed at the children and the French guest. Atmosphere none existence. In the 2 weeks we stayed we had two singers not in English and a local folk group. We have stayed in lots of hotels all inclusive, the food was always hot, not here always the same for breakfast, dinner and tea. I reported one french lady for picking pineapple up with her hands and the picked up a hand full of jully sniffed it and put it back in the serving dish. They did remove it. Would we recommend this hotel NEVER. The only people that enjoy it Is family's and there children as there are taken care of and the French. Lost of the English Guest felt the same.
