If you want to feel and be treated like royalty, and you are not a member of the royal family, then come stay at The Phoenicia in Malta. The service is exceptional from the moment I was greeted by Sharona at the front desk and Simon at the front door. I came several hours early so I was taken to their beautiful spa where I swam in their other worldly indoor swimming pool actually built into the city’s rock wall. Their garden is a scaled down version of Versailles. Their outdoor pool makes you feel like you are in the south pacific only you are surrounded by ancient rock walls. The food is delicious and what a treat to be on the terrace surrounded by history with a magnificent view of the city. Their spa with the indoor pool is worthy of a Roman emperor. I will be back for sure!!
Yet another great stay with the hotel under current management reaching new heights. Accommodation, service, f and b and facilities are all top class. The price point is high for the island but in this case deservedly so.
It is rare to visit a hotel and find nothing to criticize but the Phoenicia was perfect. The staff was the warmest and best trained I have ever seen. The pool and restaurants are first rate, and the location is superb.
