Classic twin/double air-conditioned or heated rooms are well-equipped with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi, radio, phone, safe, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary non-alcoholic mini-bar, and hairdryer. Superior Rooms, Executive Rooms and Deluxe Harbour View Rooms are available at a supplement.
There are beautiful swimming pools, there are wonderful choices to be made in the hotel's two à la carte restaurants; there is even a hotel jewellery shop. (And of course, there's an excellent gym.) To top it all off, the Phoenicia Hotel is set in seven acres of landscaped gardens.

The Phoenicia still retains its reputation as one of Malta's leading hotels and it has a devoted following of guests who return year after year. Reflecting the grand style of the 1920's with elegant rooms and furnishings, it exudes an air of quiet luxury and efficient service. The hotel enjoys a prime position just outside the main gateway to Valletta. The historical three cities or fashionable Sliema are located just across the harbour, which can be reached by car, boat or bus.
The hotel was amazing, but the staff was even better. The hotel drivers Francis and Maria were beyond amazing. The airlines lost our luggage so they both tagged teamed and helped not just with driving us to stores and recommendations, but went so above and beyond to help us locate our luggage. We were only in the hotel for one night, but they continued with making several trips to the airport and when the luggage finally arrived two days later that the bags were diverted to a different location where our cruise ship was pulling in. They located two of the bags, but one was still missing, for several days they helped me not just load the final bag, but get it landed back to my hometown. On top of that, I had moved on with my vacation and tried my best to compensate them for all the troubles, they insisted that they were happy to help me and did not provide me anyway for me to pay them additional money for all their trips to the airport and time they put in. I travel a lot, I have never experienced that kind of personal kindness. all I could think of how I could show my appreciation is to write this review. I would’ve loved for them to provide me a way to pay for all the troubles and they insisted they would not take any money from me. So amazing that there’s still people in this world like this, definitely gonna make me a better person. Thanks again Francis and Maria, I hope to see this review!
We cannot thank the entire team enough for making our parents’ anniversary celebration so incredibly special and memorable.
We wanted to surprise our parents with an anniversary dinner featuring the same food they had at their wedding, which was hosted at Phoenicia as well, as they sadly hadn’t been able to eat much of it on the day. It was such a meaningful surprise for us to recreate that part of their wedding day, and from the very beginning, the team went above and beyond to help us make it happen.
A very special thank you to Jovana Novakic and Maria Julve, who were absolutely wonderful throughout the planning. They were so kind, helpful, accommodating and genuinely invested in making the evening perfect. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their warmth and enthusiasm made the whole process so enjoyable and stress-free.
And then, on the day itself, the staff were simply exceptional. Everyone was incredibly sweet, kind, generous and friendly, and they made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Their attention to detail and genuine care made such a difference, and they went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right.
The evening was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Seeing our parents so happy and being able to give them a little taste of their wedding day again was incredibly special to us — and the wonderful team played such a huge part in making that possible.
Thank you to Jovana Novakic, Maria Julve, and every single member of staff who looked after us on the day. Your kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness truly made the entire experience even more beautiful. We will always remember this evening and the wonderful memories you helped us create.

An exceptional stay from start to finish. The serene atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, outstanding service, and attention to detail made for a truly relaxing experience. The quality throughout the hotel is evident, from the facilities to the dining. A perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended, and I look forward to returning. 😊
