Such a wonderful hotel! Great breakfast, friendly helpful staff, nice sized room with good A/C. It’s central enough to be walkable to everything and just far enough away from the action to be quiet and peaceful.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was spacious, the A/C worked very well, good bathroom, very comfortable bed, good linens. Location was perfect for seeing all the sights in Valletta. A little bit of an uphill walk (2 blocks) to get to restaurants and bars, and to the central square. The breakfast (which was included in our room rate) was fantastic. A big selection of included dishes (e.g., eggs Benedict ) to choose from on the menu along with a nice buffet with fruit, yogurt, pastries, cheese, cold cuts. Check in was very easy and inviting. They will store your bags after you check out if you have a later flight. Easy to get an Uber to the airport. Only about 20 minutes to get to the airport.
We recently returned from Valletta, Malta, a regular destination for our family, having stayed for the first time at Palais Le Brun, Old Bakery Street on a bed and breakfast basis. Firstly, the position is ideal for us, being very slightly out of the main swim and just a minute or two walk from Republic Steet and the main city activities. We had two rooms serving adults (parents) and our two late teens, one (a deluxe ?) overlooking the street (first floor level), the other overlooking the alleyway that divides the two parts of the hotel. Both were spot-on. The hotel was clean, accessible, and what we noticed from the very begging was the friendliness of staff, and how polite and willing to assist everyone was. Nothing was too much trouble, and the service we received was second to none. The breakfast menu was varied and really nice. The hotel has a small gym, and a roof-top pool that is larger than the usual plunge-pool. Sound loungers are positioned on two levels, and ample in numbers. A roof-top bar was most accommodating and there is a very nice food menu. For health/beauty treatments we were linked to one of the several sister hotels, - The Gomerino - located on the opposite side of Valletta in St Paul Street. These - as reported by members the family - were superb, and whilst waiting we used the roof top bar/pool area which overlooks the Grand Harbour. All-in all, it was an excellent stay, with good convenience and friendly clientele. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in booking again. John.
From uk ..Stayed for ten days in Sept 26 ,great rooms , excellent breakfast, fairly central, all staff were very helpful and attentive to your needs.. Very clean , noise level low. Roof top area good . Has lifts hotel split into two adjacent building close together. We used buses to get about great value if you get multiple trip card Plenty to see various locations , food around city good value .
The hotel was lovely, the location great, and this is our second visit, the cleanliness and all the staff were absolutely brilliant and we will most certainly look forward to coming back in the future.
