Lovely stay. Comfortable room overlooking the beautiful bay. Staff were all welcoming and very helpful, especially Karen who went above and beyond looking after us. Breakfast was very good but repetitive. Leo's Bar was welcoming and relaxed. Roof pool was amazing with wonderful views but the music was too noisy for us.
We are just back from a week stay at this hotel and could not fault it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is very clean and decorated to a high standard. The rooms have everything you need and the view round the back overlooking the bay is beautiful. We stayed in room 302 which is just above Leo’s bar and can be a bit noisey if you are early to bed and early to rise like we are but we did manage to sleep ok. The only thing missing was a clothes line on the balcony, this would have been perfect so we wouldn’t have to hang clothes over the balcony. The restaurant on site is very good, I would recommend booking a table if you want one outside as there are only 5/6 and they get booked early! The rooftop pool is a must - very good chilled vibes up there and a very good view! We got around the island by Bolts which are easy and inexpensive. Overall a very good stay.
I had a lovely stay at Damare Hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I really appreciated the great service and attention to detail throughout my stay.
I would definitely recommend Damare Hotel and would be happy to stay here again!
The location is very good, close to the sea, and it is nice to have the option of both using the pool and swimming in the sea. However, I don't think the hotel offers good value for money. Unfortunately, this was probably my worst experience in a 4-star hotel. There seems to be a serious humidity problem throughout the building. You can see signs of it in many places, feel it in the air, and there is a noticeable smell of dampness. All the clothes we kept in the room felt damp all the time, which was quite unpleasant. The cleanliness of the room could also have been much better. The room was not cleaned properly, and on some occasions even the trash bin in the bathroom was not emptied. The bed was rather uncomfortable, the duvet felt very synthetic, and the pillows were quite hard, so the overall sleeping experience was not particularly comfortable. One evening there was a loud party in one of the rooms, and despite the noise, no one from the hotel seemed to react. To be fair, I probably wouldn't mention many of these things if this were a 2- or 3-star hotel. However, when a property is marketed as a 4-star hotel, I think it is reasonable to expect a higher standard of comfort, cleanliness and overall quality. Overall, the stay was okay, and the location is definitely a strong point, but considering the condition of the hotel and the price, I expected significantly more from a 4-star property.
We recently stayed in a Premium Suite at Damare Resort & Spa, and overall, it was a fantastic trip. The room itself was lovely, with the standout feature easily being the direct access out to the beach. Waking up and being just steps from the shore made the stay feel truly special. That said, there are a few minor tweaks that would elevate the room experience: having an in-room safe would be a welcome addition for peace of mind, and during our visit, two of the downlights were out, which left the suite feeling noticeably dark in the evenings. Beyond the suite, the resort facilities offered some real highlights: Indoor Cave & Pools: The indoor cave pool was hands-down the highlight of our entire stay—atmospheric, relaxing, and unique. Up on the roof, the infinity pool was stunning, with brilliant views, great vibes, and cocktails flowing throughout the day. The only thing missing was heating for the main outdoor pool, which would be a brilliant touch for cooler mornings or breezy afternoons. Service & Dining: The staff throughout the resort were super friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Our only small gripe on the food and beverage side was at the sports bar, where the menu could do with an update, as it still listed sushi options that are no longer being served. Minor feedback aside, the positives far outweighed the small niggles. We’ll definitely be returning—and we’ll be booking the exact same room when we do!
