Hotel is isolated on a hill, whilst this gives it great views from the pool area it is a 40 minute walk to nearest shops and restaurants. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel grounds, but buses in peak season were packed so ended up spending a fortune on bolts to get to local shops and eateries. I never write reviews regarding good or bad experiences but just wanted to warn people of things to take into consideration when choosing this hotel. It is not cheap to book, hotel rooms are not clean, room service do come in daily but only to re make the beds. Room not hoovered for a week so ended up picking bits off the floor to try and keep it tidy. Balcany and bathroom dirty, reported cockroaches in bathroom to reception who sent cleaning lady to spray to room. She used fly spray which obviously did not work so had to sleep with the bathroom light on every night and double check all clothes when packing to make sure we did not bring anything back with us! I was not happy with responce from reception and asked to be moved but told no rooms available as they were fully booked. Pool area is nice with great views over the sea. Pool attendant was rude on several occasions and actually encouraged an argument with a local and my son 15 year old son who had accidentally kicked his drink over. Whilst there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool be aware that many people pay to come and use this hotel for the day, so it can get really busy especially on weekends. Restaurants can be closed to private functions so had to get transport to nearest town which was not much in a bolt but could walk it in the high heat.
Large groups of kids running around on level 0, 1 and 2 as the hotel is used as a language/activitie camp, they use the pool after classes so can get busy and loud at times. Kids hanging around at night with some noice but that didn't really affect us.
I hate writing bad reviews but feel people should know the facts before booking this hotel, I wish I had. Would never go back.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel in Malta, which completely exceeded our expectations.
The Italian restaurant was a real highlight, with a delicious menu and food prepared to a very high standard. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was also exceptional — everything was spotless wherever we went.
There were plenty of sunbeds around both pools, and the adults-only pool was particularly special, with luxurious, comfortable sunbeds that made it the perfect place to relax.
Our bedroom was excellent too, with a large, comfortable bed, high-thread-count linen and a brilliant shower.
I honestly have no idea where some of the comments about lots of flies or unpleasant smells came from, as we experienced absolutely none of that during our stay.
We only got home yesterday and, without hesitation, I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat. A fantastic stay and one I would happily recommend!
Dated hotel, too many rules, customer service fair except for srinavda at recrption. Messy bar adult pool, toilet flushes sporadically. Great views.
Terrible - the location is in front of a massive waste recycling plant and the flies are all over - wherever you stay if it’s a restaurant outside or by the pool you are invaded by flies and bad odours from recycling plant of Maghtab. Even worse the GM - Frenchman - of the hotel is so rude. Not recommended.
It's hard not to point out the beauty of this pool and view... But I must also say that the service rendered from Julian at the pool bar is simply perfect. Going above and beyond to ensure customers are happy. Well done!
