Thinking of holidaying in St Julian's, Malta? You're in for a treat. One of the island's newest resorts, it's already one of the most popular. And partly that's because of some of the fabulous hotels here – in fact there are more luxury hotels in St Julian's than there are anywhere else on the island. And the Cavalieri Hotel is an easy recommendation.
The Cavalieri Hotel is the ideal choice for so many reasons: its facilities are top notch, and its location is perfect – quietly tucked away, but only a few hundred yards from the heart of St Julian's Spinola Bay.
St Julian's promises the quintessential sunshine holiday. Long, hot days at the water's edge or, if you're staying at the Cavalieri Hotel, you can enjoy the hotel lido too. At night, you can explore along the harbour-front discovering tucked away restaurants and cafes, or just taking in the heady evening air. The bright lights of adjacent Paceville draws younger travellers to the entertainment centres' many clubs.
With the Cavalieri Hotel as your base, you've got the best of both worlds; all that St Julian's and the Cavalieri have to offer. Comfort is definitely on the menu; the wonderfully cool, air conditioned rooms boast twin beds and en suite bathrooms (with shower and bath, all deluxe rooms include a walk-in shower). Each has satellite TV, radio, direct dial phone, safe, (unstocked) mini bar and tea/coffee too. Hairdryers are available upon request at no extra charge.
The hotel also boasts two bars and a TV room. And with live entertainment on offer most nights, you'll soon be busy having the time of your life.
As you'd expect with a hotel of this quality, there are so many extra amenities, including a GP on call, an on-site laundrette and dry cleaning service; even a souvenir shop. And, with its solarium and second pool (which is heated through the colder months), the Cavalieri Hotel is just as popular in the winter too.
St Julians is one of Malta's most vibrant and popular resorts, and the Cavalieri Hotel is one of its most popular places to stay. So if you are really thinking about a holiday in St Julian's, why not come and see the best that this island has to offer?

This hotel is located just over 200 yards from Spinola Bay, in the heart of St Julian's, and no less than 400 yards from Paceville. The hotel is right on the water's edge and has its own private lido with a large outdoor swimming pool, a children's pool and a sundeck with solarium containing a second pool, enclosed and heated in the winter and open during the summer.
Very good location, spacious and clean hotel, good breakfast, helpful staff. Needs more parking space, better air conditioning, renovation of room furniture.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. The location is fantastic, with breathtaking views, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and equipped with large bathrooms and excellent showers.
The breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. We also really enjoyed the Friday BBQ by the pool, which was a great experience with excellent food and a lovely atmosphere.
The pool area is amazing, and we loved having the option to enjoy both the indoor pool and direct access to the sea. It made our stay even more relaxing.
The only downside was the air conditioning. During the hot weather, it didn't cool the room enough, making it difficult to sleep comfortably at night.
One small suggestion would be to provide a few more main course options at the weekly dinner. There were only three choices, and unfortunately none suited our taste. Adding a chicken dish, for example, would offer guests more variety.
Overall, this was an exceptional stay. The hotel, facilities, food, and beautiful surroundings made for a memorable holiday. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
Having stayed at this hotel on two previous occasions I had no hesitation in booking this hotel again as it is in a prime location. However, I was to be very disappointed. I had paid extra for a seaview room and with the single supplement it made my stay quite expensive. You cannot fault the view from this hotel. It is just magical! My first 2 nights were disrupted by the guests in the next room so after speaking to reception they agreed to move me to another room. A room that was not quite so nice and modern as the previous room. After complaining I was given a dinner voucher for a free meal in the hotels restaurant. Day 4 brought more problems, after there were issues with the hot water system, which affected all guests. Some guests, I learned had no water!! This breakdown took 2 days to be resolved, which I felt was unacceptable. My friends had a problem with a leaking toilet in their room, but this was resolved within 24 hours. There was no communication from the hotel to its guests about the issues with the lack of hot water, so reception staff were constantly getting asked for updates on the situation. There was a great choice of food available at breakfast. Buffet style catering which meant food was not always hot. Since my last visit to St Julians there has been a dramatic change. There has been lots of construction which includes Paceville. An area that is full of nightclubs and bars suitable for the over 18's. There are supermarkets within easy reach of the hotel for those everyday items. A brand new shopping centre is located approx 15 minutes walk from the hotel which includes stores like Adidas, Nike and Guess. In the basement of the same precinct you can go Go Karting. These are 20 minute sessions for a reasonable price. My group really enjoyed this. There are numerous bars and eateries in St Julians and the food is very reasonably priced. It actually is cheaper to eat out than in the hotel. I love Malta and its beautiful historic buildings, scenery, little towns and villages. I would return as there is so much more I want to discover. I would not however, stay at the Cavaleiri Hotel or St Julians again in July. Just far too busy for myself and my group. The hotel needs to change the ways in which they communicate problems and issues to their guests. Even though staff are polite there is a lack of care and concern. There seems to be no urgency in resolving issues. This hotel is now over 50 years old and I feel it needs some necessary updates as some areas are looking a bit dated and worn. Some updating was being carried out during our stay in some of the guest rooms and painting of some of the outside areas. Such a shame we had a negative stay at this hotel.
Had a lovely week at this hotel, the location was great for what we wanted, sun bathing and then being able to cool down in the Med in about 5 steps. The hotel is close to town but far enough to be away from the strip if that's not your thing We stayed Half Board and enjoyed the food, breakfast was good and the evening buffet had nice variety. The crucial question is would I stay here again and the answer is a definite Yes 👍
We had a great time. With the Mediterranean Sea outside the door and the sundeck with the pools, is this a great place to relax. The staff is nice and they are always there at your service. The bathrooms is a bit small and the air conditioning is turning off by it self. The beds is a bit hard for our liking. It was our second time staying at this hotell, and it will not be our last.
