The Verdi St Georges Bay Marina Resort is a bright, modern and comfortable four star hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and refreshing informality. Enjoying a superb sea-front position the hotel forms part of a resort with the neighbouring Corinthia Hotel St. George's Bay.
Lovely hotel staff are amazing great location big pools overlooking the sea with plenty of sunbeds Superb breakfast and access to facilities at adjoining hotels The room was clean good aircon and we had a sea view balcony which made our break would definitely come back Downsides - lots of construction around but that is everywhere in Malta so glad we booked this hotel rather than the sister Voco hotel which is situated in the middle of St Julian’s which is basically a horrendous place unless you are young and want to club (which we definitely aren’t) Recommend walking the promenade to Sliema thru Spinola and Balutta Bay lots of nice restaurants and bars not many near Verdi apart from chains
The hotel is fine but the entire resort is a construction site. Outside the hotel constant noise from building opposite, temporary roads and footpaths to the point of being dangerous. I personally have fallen on the footpath. The town centre is no better than near the hotel people of certain age give this area a miss.
What a gem of a hotel the Verdi is. It's well located for good quality restaurants and bars yet relatively quiet on an evening. Our room was huge with great views and represented excellent value for money (booked through Luxury Escapes). The staff couldn't have been more helpful throughout our stay and morning breakfast was great. The pool area is massive with sunbeds always available and has private access to the sea ( which was warmer than the pool).
Top tip: if you book a suite make sure to accept their help with luggage because access is via a steep twisting staircase.
If it wasn’t for the staff They are brilliant 5 star but Rooms jaded and dated not 4 star at all Linen & beds tried Lumpy old quilts Fridge broken ( but replaced quickly) The outside facilities are good but the unfinished monstrous block of flats block the sun to the pools by 4pm ( I actually feel sorry for the hotel owners ) Area around is a building site
We stayed in room 4731. A lovely sea view and spacious, clean room. Room cleaning service everyday but optional. Breakfast has plenty of options with an option to sit in or outside with a,sea view. Staff are fantastic and always happy to assist.
We highly recommend this hotel and we will use again.
