Set against a stunning Mediterranean backdrop, this luxurious hotel is renowned for its five-star amenities and proximity to Malta’s lively nightlife. A perfect blend of relaxation and convenience.
Based in St George’s bay it’s very nearby lots of restaurants and shops. The downside is the ongoing construction works next door to the hotel. There’s lots of dust and intermittent road closures. Our room was facing the construction site but we weren’t really disturbed with the noise.
Check in was easy even at 11pm at night. And we were given a complimentary Maltese drink. Concierge were helpful to take our luggage to our room.
We had a family room for two adults and a 5 year old and 12 year old. It was a bit tight for space particularly with 4 suitcases. There wasn’t enough wardrobe space or handing hooks for bathroom towels. The furniture was dated but the bed was comfy. The bathroom was small for 4 people and the floors got very slippy after 4 showers. My 5 year old slipped going to the toilet. There wasn’t a strip under the shower glass to prevent the water getting on the floor. The fridge was useful for keeping fruit and drinks cold. Rooms were kept clean on a daily basis and they were always cleaned before 11am. The aircon kept the room cool all day.
I cannot fault the staff who were all very friendly and helpful particularly at breakfast time. Breakfast was your usual buffet spread which was good. We never had to wait long for a table.
The pool areas were clean and the staff worked tirelessly to keep them clean. There were enough sun beds to go around although people did hog beds and disappear for hours to only come back and reclaim their beds. The kids loved the pools which is one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. You could also go down to the lido to swim in the sea where there were plenty of sunbeds. The pool bars were quite expensive. The beer was cheaper than the “mocktails”. Nearly 30 Euros for 4 drinks.
Went to Corinthia San Gorg lounge for an afternoon tea. Unfortunately and unnecessary they decided to increase the price for an afternoon tea from Eur17 to Eur24. And to make it worse, the size of the sandwiches are now smaller.
Went in February so was a bit windy but it was sheltered enough to lie outside . Was a lot of building work going on around the hotel . Bit of a walk into pacevile the main place for drinks in the evening, we ended up sharing bolt taxis . Rooms were nice with bathrobes and slippers provided. Excellent breakfast highly recommend. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Really good hotel love it.Very good staff:Khuslu
A truly wonderful experience. The ambience was excellent. Very friendly environment. Room was clean and spacious, and made up everyday with care. Outstanding facilities to keep us occupied, and at ease. The Bathroom was spotlessly clean and amply equipped with all toiletries. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience of the executive lounge with fresh and delicious snacks available through the day. Khushi and Asma were very hospitable friendly and helpful all times with a big smile.
