Its views, its facilities and its idyllic harbour-side location put it top of the list for many holidaymakers. Added to that, you've got your pick of shops and nightlife, clubs and bars, cafes and restaurants, all within easy striking distance of the Waterfront.
And don't forget comfort. That's top of the list here where spacious twin and double rooms are kitted out for cosy downtime. All rooms come with cable TV and radio, minibar, safe, hairdryer and direct dial phone. And yes, you can choose a room with a wonderful sea view for a supplement. Rooms on second floor have French balconies, others have balconies.
With so much to explore in Sliema and Valetta, don't forget to spend some time enjoying the Waterfront Hotel itself. There's a restaurant and snack bar, a comfortable lounge and even a hairdresser, all on site.

The Waterfront is one of Malta's most popular 4-star hotels. Occupying a prime location on Sliema's seafront promenade it has excellent guest facilities and spectacular views across the harbour to Valletta. The local ferry connects over to Valletta regularly and is just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Close at hand are the shops and restaurants of Sliema and the lively centres of entertainment in Paceville (a short bus ride away).
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. It does rather misrepresent its pool facilities - there is no private outside pool - but the small indoor one is peaceful. While the sleeping area in our room and the bathroom were clean the adjoining seating area (sofa and chairs) was dusty with visible dust on the skirting boards. Our bathroom shower was small and leaked and several lamps did not work. The breakfast is good but the GF options are limited, and there is a lack of variety over a week's stay. The gym area is very small with no space to lay out the mats provided; it also doubles up as the spa reception area which is not ideal. We felt overall the standard of the hotel should have been higher for the cost of the superior room we booked.
Well, it's on the water front, directly across from an outdoor pool (although the hotel has an indoor pool), convenient for ferries. There are advantages and disadvantages to your room location. We liked our inside room, quiet and overlooking a lovely courtyard. The staff are professional and dedicated to their roles. They never stop. And always warm, friendly and helpful. A special mention for Rupa(?) in House-keeping, Our room was always maintained to the highest of standards. Surely no one could be disappointed with breakfast? Lovely coffee and endless choice. Plenty of space. A great start to the day. The rooftop bar had great views over to Valetta and the food on offer was good. Best for food is the recently opened restaurant, Maurice's. On our final night there, I had the best duck I have ever tasted. Happy hour was a delight. It was clear that all the guests were enjoying their stay. We certainly did. Thank you to everyone at the Waterfront for all that they did to make it a memorable stay.
We absolutely loved our stay at The Waterfront Hotel in Malta! The hotel was beautiful, impeccably appointed, and exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was incredibly spacious, with two separate balconies offering a stunning, full marina view.
The staff was exceptional—warm, thoughtful, and attentive from check-in to check-out. Every detail was considered, and the nightly surprises of delicious snacks and wine were the perfect finishing touch to an already wonderful experience.
The location was ideal, right on the water and just steps from the water taxi to Valletta, making it easy to explore and enjoy everything Malta has to offer. And the rooftop bar quickly became our favorite evening ritual, with amazing views and the perfect atmosphere to end each day.
We truly loved every moment of our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer! The Waterfront Hotel made our time in Malta incredibly memorable, and we would return without hesitation. We will wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to any friends or family planning a trip to Malta.

We had a wonderfull evening at 1Oluve restaurant. Siddik and others where very helpfull as waiters. We sat at the waterfront, a beautifull view and als the food was nice. The diner was including the wine and other drinks. Therefore the proce was very worthwhile
