The hotel is suitable for guests with mobility issues, but please note the hotel is located on a slope.

Just spent a week here and I have zero complaints. First of all, I emailed the hotel ahead of time just to confirm the booking as it was booked through a travel agent and the staff communicating through email were very friendly and responded almost immediately. There is a 24/7 reception and upon checking in at around 10pm, we were greeted in a very welcoming manner. We were advised on a free room upgrade which included a balcony which was a delight. Our experience with the rooftop bar was amazing, the staff were always very friendly and were always up for a conversation, offering tips on places to visit around the island. They would also make a cocktail that wasn’t even on the menu if you wanted it. The room itself was very clean and spacious, lots of drawer space for clothes and personal items, comfortable bed and the daily housekeeping was great. The breakfast was a high point for me, so much choice on all sorts of foods, whether at 8am or 10am, the food was hot and fresh. All staff were more than happy to answer any questions or concerns that we had. I would highly recommend this hotel, it is around a 5-10 minute downhill walk to the main area for bars and restaurants, so just to note for physically impaired individuals that it would be an uphill walk back to the hotel. There is also a 24 hour convenience shop just a few minutes away. All in all, this was a very pleasant stay for us as a young couple and we would stay again.
Amazing hotel and staff! Our second visit here and it just gets better. Victoria and her team on the front desk are amazing and nothing is too much for them. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to ensure you have the best stay. The effort they put in is amazing - we celebrated my partners special birthday and they pulled out all stops for him! Truly appreciated.
The bar staff, waiters/waitresses/cleaners/maintenance are awesome, pleasant, polite and on it! They take the time to make sure all is well. The head waiter Charles, what a legend and will ensure yourdining experienceis the best! William and Doris in their beautiful onsite shop cannot be missed and are the nicest people you'll ever meet.
The cleanliness of the hotel is of a high standard, rooms are spotless and cool. The food - not one bad comment! High quality. The location os perfect for couples wishing a relaxed and quieter style stay. A true gem!
My wife and I stayed at this hotel during our honeymoon trip to Malta, and it did not disappoint! As part of our booking, we were given an upgrade to an Executive Room and it was absolutely brilliant. The bed was very spacious, the balcony was just the right size with a table and chairs with a view of the sea and the bathroom was spacious with several toiletries available if you forgot any of your own. They even supplied dressing gowns and slippers free of charge! There was a fridge to keep drinks cool (you could ask for a minibar setup if you wish), a safe for valuables and fresh water every day! The staff were very friendly and approachable and there was no street noise if you kept the balcony door closed (which you need to so you can feel the air conditioning during the warm, summer nights). Breakfast was a buffet-style, with a great selection of American food and local dishes too. They even provided a takeaway bag of food as we were missing the last day of breakfast due to leaving early in the morning, a fantastic gesture! If I have to give any negativity, it’s that the hotel is at the top of a hill, so walking down to the harbour and nightlife is lovely but walking back up can be a bit tiring. Still, a great hotel and one I would return to.
The AX Victoria is a fantastic place to stay for your first time in Malta. This was my first solo trip and I have never felt more relaxed and comfortable. The location is fantastic to both Valetta and St Julian’s. The atmosphere on the rooftop pool was amazing, music and friendly staff. One staff member I would like to acknowledge is Ashni, without her warm and caring nature towards me, I could have found my solo experience in Malta completely different, she was extremely helpful on how to get round Malta and the best places to go - Everytime I was greeted by Ashni, she always smiled and was very polite - she made a point of getting to know her guests and remembering about them, I didn’t have to move once for my drinks 😁 Thank you Ashni - you are amazing!
We went to Malta for the first time in July for a short break, to celebrate significant birthdays and to see if we would like to return at a later date. We loved it. The hotel is in Sliema and was lovely. A short walk to the seafront where local transport was in abundance. The staff were kind and thoughtful wishing my other half a happy birthday leaving wine in the room and gifting vouchers for cocktails. We went B&B and the breakfasts were plentiful and varied. I also have dietary needs and these were catered for without fuss. We booked an evening meal in their sister hotel (attached) AX Palace and it was lovely and the chef was extremely attentive to my needs and walked me around the entire buffet to explain everything. They even gave me a special dessert without even asking (thoughtful). AX Victoria when we were there were undergoing renovation work in their spa area, so this meant we were unable to use the lift on our floor but we walked through and adjoining door to their sister hotel and used their lift so it was never a problem. We only encountered noise on one day when we were a bit later leaving our room, so to be honest it was never a problem. The AX Victoria is a lovely hotel we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff, from the chambermaids, bar staff, waiters and of course front of house we thank you for making our birthdays and stay enjoyable
