We stayed for 2 nights. The sea view room was a great size, very spacious. The room could do with refurbishing as it is a little dated but the hotel staff were fabulous. Very friendly and helpful and whatever we needed they helped us with. They gave us good information about the buses and getting around. The view was superb and the location was great. An easy walk to the ferry for Valetta or along the promenade for restaurants. A shame there’s no Breakfast option but they supplied us with bowls and cutlery so we sorted ourselves. We made use of the lift going through the restaurant underneath to avoid the steps up to the reception when possible. A great little hotel.
Thanks to Dena who is a very kind lady we had a problem with another hotel . In the early hours of the morning we has no where to stay.Dena made us feel so welcome. Friendly clean hotel with wonderful views . Would definitely recommend.Wonderful location near everything.
We arrived in Malta from England with no accommodation for our 7 night stay. The taxi dropped us off at a cafe bar across the road from Hotel Roma and we initially only booked for one night as the price was cheap and decided to give it a one night trial. The rooms are basic but clean, the staff were very helpful. The air-con was an absolute godsend as it was 38degrees! After our one night stay we booked a further 6 nights and upgraded our room for a balcony for just €25 (so worth it) I think in total we paid around €650 for a weeks stay and it was everything we needed and more. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who just uses their hotel room as a base and do not be put off by the reasonably priced room! Ok we didn’t have a pool but we had the beautiful Mediterranean Sea right on our doorstep.
A shambles of an experience inside this hotel from the moment we stepped out of our transfer honestly
We was quick to learn that “ Lift accessibility “ meant walking through a Chinese restaurant and going up in a lift
Upon arrival at reception we was then made a aware that the room that we booked which wasn’t the room we was receiving we was then told we have to pay extra for said room
We paid the extra because it was late and we had been travelling all day
We then quickly learnt our Air conditioning wasn’t working and the next day had to wait an hour for the man to arrive and a additional hour n half for him to fix the air con This was after Management had tried to blame us saying the door was open ( photo and video evidence of said ac being fixed)
The bathroom light wasn’t working the whole trip so after dark we had to use our phone torch or keep the door ajar for light
And just when things couldn’t get worse ANTS were in the bathroom and coming into where the beds were (photo & video evidence)
The management of this hotel is not accommodating and the rooms shown on booking.com etc are false the rooms are very small The TVs are tiny Lack of storage No reception phone So you have to keep going up and down the stairs or wait 5 mins for the lift each time
Management did not want to correspond with our booking agent to help us find a new hotel as he didn’t want to give us a refund he then argued until he was made aware of all the evidence collected
Very disappointed and upset with how this has gone with amount spent before even getting here to see that it’s not what we booked at all It’s False Advertisement !!
The room we were shown on arrival was awful and we had to pay an extra 90 euros to get a decent room location very good staff very good do not use the Golden Wok chinese underneath hotel worst food i have ever had handy Lidl store nearby advise you buy the bus pass to take you anywhere on the island and book a boat trip to Gozo and Comino blue lagoon
