Then there is the spectacular Bar & Grill area where you can enjoy sipping on a cocktail, a gym and the Preluna Hotel and Spa's very own diving school to enjoy. All followed by a meal in one of the restaurants or the Japanese Restaurant.

This modern and elegant hotel, right on the Sliema seafront, has long been a popular choice with our clients. The main shopping and entertainment areas of Silema are within five minutes stroll and the nightlife of St Julian's is a 15-minute walk.
My half board stay at the preluna hotel.
The hotel was lovely, very friendly and helpful staff which was really nice. Good location. Pool was great although is saltwater which wasn’t a problem for me, but a decent size and not crowded. The noise from building works was hardly noticeable literally only heard them once or twice during the day. The hotel was very clean and the room was cleaned daily!
My only downsides For me as an autistic person i didn’t like the food as there’s not much for picky eaters but that’s okay I made it work however my mum loved the food.
To be honest the only real problem for me about the hotel is because we were half board we had to pay for drinks at dinner and even just a jug of water was 5 euros . I always stay half board on holidays and usually soft drinks and water at dinner would be included. I didn’t mind paying for the soft drinks but paying 5 euros for a jug of water was a bit excessive but I am sure there’s a reason.
Fantastic hotel. Food amazing, Staff amazing, Big room, View from the side was Great, very chilled time we spent in Preluna. Everything very close by, Building word wasn't noticeable or the road noise. Great idea room key operates the lifts ( child safe) Everything very close by and great for a evening stroll after your meal. The Pool area small and unable to sit on the edge dangling your feet. Need more room to sit and have lunch. Would return as we had a great stay, Thank you Preluna hotel and spa ⭐️👍❤️
We have stayed at this hotel many times and have never been disappointed. This year yet again very well pleased, from entering the hotel to be greeted by Erika who remembers us from last year with nice smile and a nice refreshing drink. Rooms are refreshed daily which is good to see as a lot of hotels have stopped doing this so keep this service going please. Plenty of choice at breakfast, all staff are friendly and helpful. Great stay have booked again for next year. Well Done Everybody.
5* The hotel is in a prime location, surrounded by charming cafés, street food vendors, and a wide range of shops, including Next, M&S, Boots, Zara, and many others.
On arrival, we were warmly welcomed with a traditional Maltese drink while checking in, which was a lovely touch. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly, and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
There were plenty of quiet areas throughout the hotel to relax. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet at €30 was excellent value for money.
The hotel also has its own small beach club and swimming pool located just across the road. Getting around was easy and inexpensive, with both the ferry and local buses providing convenient and affordable transport.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.
Booked a week here with Tui, a family of four taking two "cheap and cheerful" rooms. First impressions were mixed, the check-in was quick but we were given rooms on separate floors and were told "the hotel is at maximum capacity" so we couldn't change anything. One of the rooms had a door that refused to close properly. We asked reception about both issues and hey presto a room opened up next to the functional room. Not sure what happened here.
During the stay, both rooms ran out of toilet paper despite being serviced. Also one room ran out of shower gel towards the end, and the other room had a power cut one night. The cheap and cheerful rooms had functional aircon (which absolutely was needed) as well as ceiling fans. TV showing mostly non-English channels. Very good showers in each room. The pillows are generously thick so bear this in mind if you want something thinner.
We were warned about nearby construction and sure enough there's a lot across Sliema and Malta as a whole. Outside the hotel and close to the room windows, they were plastering during a couple of days (standing on planks lowered by ropes!). There were occasionally stepladders in the corridors as well with open access panels nearby.
The hotel itself is in a very handy Sliema location, close by food places and a 10 min walk to the ferries. Inside the hotel, there's a spa with a pool, this surprisingly closed towards the end of our stay for a week or two, again, not sure what happened. I feel sorry for the people arriving to discover this. The breakfast is excellent with decent coffee and always a lot of choice. We didn't eat any meals in the hotel otherwise, apart from the attached Japanese restaurant (pretty good) and the Japanese Burgers (which was excellent).
Over the road is the connected beach club. The pool there is nice but not in any shade. Down the steps and you're in the public area with ladders down into the sea which was pretty good. We went snorkelling and there were some fish and urchins.
At reception, there's always a bowl of apples if you're peckish. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy enough to walk to the local Lidl for bottled water and snacks which is close by and cheap. Bus stops just outside and you can buy multi-use card tickets from the vending machine or the booth by the ferries.
