Elegance and modernity are the hallmarks of the Preluna Hotel and Spa, one of Sliema's foremost hotels. With elevated views out over Sliema to one side and the dazzling blue Mediterranean to the other, it is a peerless spot from which to gaze out over Malta's most popular holiday destination.
The capital, Valetta, just to the south, is a doorway to Malta's rich cultural past and is one of those must-visit destinations. Sliema itself brings you the very best that modern Malta has to offer, a rich, vibrant array of activities for the active traveller and the sun seeker. Get out and enjoy swimming, snorkeling and adventuring or make the most of al fresco dining and good companionship; Sliema is the place to be.
What do you want to do today? When you're a guest at the Preluna Hotel and Spa in Sliema, every day can have a distinctly different flavour. From your elegant hotel home, you can look out over another beautiful Maltese day and consider your options.
Of course, waking up in your comfortable and spacious room, with a balcony and sea view if you choose to upgrade*, is a perfect start to any day. Equipped with satellite TV, telephone, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi plus a safe you'll be well set up for the holiday. Please note that, due to their position within the building, the views from Economy Rooms may be partially or fully restricted, and do not have a balcony.
So what's on the agenda? Perhaps a quick dip in the outdoor pool^ (open from May to October) or even a couple of hours in the hotel leisure centre, complete with indoor pool.
^ The outdoor pool area is across the road (with a zebra crossing) and 150m to the left of the hotel.
Then there is the spectacular Bar & Grill area where you can enjoy sipping on a cocktail, a gym and the Preluna Hotel and Spa's very own diving school to enjoy. All followed by a meal in one of the restaurants or the Japanese Restaurant.
As well as all of that, the Preluna Hotel in Sliema is famous for its Feel Good Wellness Spa*, with heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and beauty salon; massages are also available to ease away all the stresses of life before your holiday!
Sliema has so much to offer the first-time or returning traveller to Malta, and the Preluna Hotel and Spa is just as packed with activities and opportunities. From a beautifully modern setting, you will be perfectly placed to make the most of Malta.

This modern and elegant hotel, right on the Sliema seafront, has long been a popular choice with our clients. The main shopping and entertainment areas of Silema are within five minutes stroll and the nightlife of St Julian's is a 15-minute walk.
We booked the hotel for one night and we enjoyed our stay. At reception they offered a welcome drink, is is a small thing but it makes you feel good. The room was big and comfortable ( i informed them in advance that my husband was in a wheelchair so they gave us an adapted room). We did not mind that the swimming pool was across the street. The area was not that big and it was difficult to find a free sunbed. But we liked the fact that there was direct access to the sea and sunbeds on the rocks- it was less hot there and more wnjoyable to lie on sunbeds close to the sea.
Outdoor pool is not with the hotel. It’s across the road to the left that is shared by a diving school with so many of them in the pool area. You can’t get past and have to say excuse me, please but sometimes they do not move and people put towels on sun beds, and go out for the day so there’s no sunbed for you
Lovely hotel, very clean and an ideal location for Ferries, buses, we had sea view balcony which was lovely, you can walk down to St Julian’s for a stroll, breakfast had a great selection of foods and tables were cleared all the time and staff very pleasant and polite, we knew construction work would be going on when we booked, but I have to agree with another person who wrote a review about the early noise from the construction site, we were on the 8th floor and basically next to it and yes they were starting at about 6.45am -7am in the mornings with banging and drilling, we managed to get a lay in on a Sunday as I think that was there day off, we understand construction work has to be done but the noise was definitely before 9am
I came here on my first ever solo holiday and so glad I did! This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. All the staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. On my last evening they even let me reserve a table outside. The food was amazing, im a vegetarian and found the catering included many options for me. My room was incredible with a sea view, I spent most my time at the hotel sat enjoying it! I was so worried about traveling solo but I felt at ease and safe in this hotel. The location was perfect, close to bus stops and main Sliema town. I’m trying to convince my friends to come back with me next year! I definitely enjoyed the rooftop bar!
Preluna Hotel come and stay and relax NOT Im staying here now next to the builders on the 11th floor every morning at Morning at 7am the lads start with the of hammers, i might as well go on site and give them a lift get the job done quicker. Ive been down yet again to complain i know the lads have got to work i know its not the hotel staffs fault, im putting the blame on the management for allowing these rooms to be rented out for a week knowing the noise will start at 7am. Ive come away to relax not to be reminded im at work im sorry but weeks been ruined and its not over yet, hopefully the builders get a day off on a Sunday 🤦🏻♂️ Do not except a room on the side where the building work is been carried out even tho ive been told the builders start a 9 they do not they start at 7. I will not stay here again just on this experience the management should not rent these rooms out while the building work is going on shame on you.
