Plaza Hotels

After arriving in Malta, my partner and I went to check into the hotel. When we entered the room, there was a foul odor; it was even worse in the bathroom—there was mold everywhere, including on the bedroom ceiling, along with clumps of hair that didn't belong to us. The roller blind was broken, as was the fridge. I reported this to the reception, but they refused to do anything about it. I then asked to speak to the manager, who came to take a look with us; I told him the situation was unacceptable and a health risk, especially since I have asthma. The manager started shouting at us, insisting it wasn't that bad. Aside from that, the cleaning staff does nothing but replace the towels. Want to borrow a beach towel? That costs 2 euros per towel. The breakfast is exactly the same every single day. I would think twice before booking this hotel; the soundproofing is poor, the atmosphere is unpleasant, and the pool (or rather, the tiny pool) is filthy. I find the way the manager speaks to guests completely unacceptable. I will never, ever come back here; this ruined a large part of our holiday.

Not the best hotel.there are two parts to this hotel.if you are booking make sure you book a room with balcony above costa coffee.the other side of the hotel is tired on the outside.we ended up with a dble room.no balcony.curtain was broken.you had to back onto the toilet.(dont ask)toilet seat was broken and never repaired.1 receptionist asked me my room number after id bn there q week.must if thought i was a squatter or something.buffet breakfast good but didnt change.staff lovely hats off to cleaners and waiters.small pool and sunbed bandits at 9am.theres a tiny beach across the road go early.great location handy for buses etc.pool bar shut at 10pm and theres no way to get a beer in hotel after.theres a great little pub just down from hotel open till 1am.restaraunts round about and in town all good not too expensive.get out and about and see some beautiful places.Valetta Blue Lagoon Medina to name a few.if u want sandy beaches give it a miss.we had a great time but hotel 2 star at best

We arrived late morning after a very early start from home. On checking in we were told that our room wouldn't be ready for another 2 hours. As it was over 36C, we were exhausted. When asked at 2 hours wait if we could have our key, we were told there would be a further 15 minutes. Not a good start! The room included air con, but was controlled by the hotel. We would have gladly paid as the room was so hot as the settings weren't suitable for that heat. The reception area was really cool and comfortable, its a pity that the guests weren't treated the same. Although our room was lovely, the smells from the bathroom drain were strong and very unpleasant.
