The Local Area
Once a suburb of Valletta, Sliema has developed into a bustling and fashionable resort with many hotels and restaurants, smart shops and places of entertainment.
The waterfront along Sliema Creek is known as The Strand and is a popular area with tourists. Tower Road, which bisects the Sliema promontory from The Strand to the open sea, offers excellent shopping and then leads on to St Julian's Point. The resort offers good swimming opportunities along the flat rocky coast on the open sea side of Sliema.

Fantastic!
We couldn't have been any more impressed with the hotel. We had a fabulous sea view with a lovely room, mini fridge too which was a bonus. The hotel staff were lovely and the cleaning staff did a great job.
The location is perfect, I would recommend the 'gondola' boats over to Valetta, only 3 euros per person and a really lovely experience as opposed to the ferry.
Breakfast in the ground floor restaurant was great, I'm really not sure why previous reviews were so negative about it.
Great plus having the Aqua luna park just across the road, especially in the 42 degree temperatures. Free access for 115 hotel guests, normal day rate is 30 euros so a real bonus. You get tickets from the desk the morning of the day you want to go. I would recommend getting there a few minutes before it opens at 10am as there is a bit of a dash for the sunbeds. Great cocktails which are 2 for 1 after 6pm when the pool closes but turns into a bar/restaurant.
Not related to the hotel but our trip to The Blue Lagoon on Comino was horrendous, heaving with young people taking photos of their pineapple cocktails for the 'gram. Massively overcrowded with no where to sit, even all the rocks were full. Difficult and dangerous to actually get into the water unless your boat has water access (ours didn't). I probably would have loved it in my 20's but certainly not in my 50's!!
Excluding that, Malta is gorgeous and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The elevators are very slow they dont work very well, the location is good, however you do have to travel 25-40 minutes to the good beaches, the pool is good.
Hotel ok, staff lovely
We loved Malta and the hotel staff were great, always helpful and efficient. Pity the electric power kept cutting out and hence the aircon would take a while to come back on. Breakfast was good on the 9/f. The g/f Grana coffeeshop was dark and hot however
Enjoy to stay
Absolutely loved our stay. Waking up to panoramic harbor views was amazing, and being within walking distance of local restaurants made our trip super convenient. Clean, comfy, and in a prime spot—highly recommended!

Great location, no value for money.
Great location, close to boat to Valletta. Rooms are ok, not value for money just ok. Unfortunately, the pool is really crowded and most sunbed occupied by towels rather than people actually in the poolclub… Breakfast is really loud and very basic. All in all, std but not worth the money.
