115 The Strand Hotel and Suites consists of a fantastic selection of self-catering studios, suites and of course classic hotel rooms. All 83 guest rooms, incorporate a stylish design with modern amenities, to ensure all visitors have a light and spacious retreat in which to relax after a long day exploring Sliema and beyond.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned and include a safety deposit box, hairdryer, flat screen TV, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. Wi-Fi is also available free of charge in public spaces, and can be accessed in your room (at a fee).
Once a suburb of Valletta, Sliema has developed into a bustling and fashionable resort with many hotels and restaurants, smart shops and places of entertainment.
The waterfront along Sliema Creek is known as The Strand and is a popular area with tourists. Tower Road, which bisects the Sliema promontory from The Strand to the open sea, offers excellent shopping and then leads on to St Julian's Point. The resort offers good swimming opportunities along the flat rocky coast on the open sea side of Sliema.
Location is perfect with a fantastic view, use of Spa facilities and pool in hotel as well as access to Aqualuna Beach/Pool club directly across the road. Centrally located with great access to public transportation and various restaurants. Perfect for a short stay in Malta
The value for money just isn't there. The rooms are about on par with a basic Ibis (though you do get a kitchenette), but you're paying 4-star prices. Breakfast is pretty limited and the whole setup is really confusing. That said, the location is great, reception is open 24/7, and the staff are super friendly.
Great location and the hotel had a nice vibe, nice and quiet for a busy hotel. Breakfast was nice enough. Best part for us was the use of Aqualuna pool complex opposite. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms were lovely, comfortable bed and nice balcony facing the sea.
Lovely hotel with fantastic views over the port. 4 adults stayed in family room with sea views. Rooms cleaned every day, plenty clean towels. Great to have fresh water in corridors. Breakfast ample, maybe a bit more fresh/dried fruit. Staff in restaurant were very nice, nothing any bother. Evening meal was lovely too with 20% discount. Added extra the use of the pool across the road. Definitely go back and happy to recommend to others.
location was the only good thing. atmosphere looked nice, with a couple nice amenities too (the solarium at the top) but in reality service was terrible and the rooms were way below the standard. different, multiple problems with the maintenance that were never resolved, like the broken shower, and the malfunctioning A/C (i have videos that show nothing was fixed by the end of the week). at the reception they didn’t even listen to the problems we were telling them, and once they even forgot to send someone. we had to ask again, they sent them at 8pm when we were getting ready to go out and made a whole mess in the room, which had technically just been cleaned. also, the shoe footprints stayed there for over 2 days, cause no one was cleaning properly. room was like a shoebox - i never mind a small room, but this one had no ventilation whatsoever and it always felt humid. hard to sleep at night: if you keep the window open, you hear the whole internal court talking, going to the toilet, and much more… seriously one of the worst experiences at a hotel, ever. bad value for money if you consider all these problems.
