The Urban Valley Resort and Spa boasts a beautiful location on the outskirts of Sliema in a small town called San Gwann. The Urban Valley Resort aims to make guests feel on top of the world, they do this by offering a range of facilities and top class service. Set in the beautiful gardens of the hotel are two large outdoor swimming pools in a charming valley setting. There is also an indoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Enjoy a few rounds of tennis on one of the hotels two tennis courts, this is at an extra fee then the equipment is provided.
The hotel's restaurants serve a wide range of mouthwatering cuisine to please everybody's taste buds and something the hotel is very proud of is their fantastic range of desserts. After enjoying a tasty meal, you can head to one of the hotel's bars which serves hot drinks, fine wines, dazzling cocktails and a range of soft drinks.
All the guestrooms have been carefully designed with comfort in mind. Rooms are luxurious and equipped with all the standard amenities. This includes; high-quality beds, TV, minibar (at a fee), telephone, tea/coffee facilities, working desk, hairdryer and toiletries. All rooms are complete with a balcony or terrace. All bathrooms are complete with either a walk-in shower or a bath. Room upgrades are available at a supplement.

The hotel staff was fantastic and very helpful and knowledgeable.A BIG shout out to Andrew and others at the pool bar who came to my wife's assistants when she started to choke on a bit of food that went down the wrong way. The hotel is situated in the middle area of the island so is very handy to get around.We was upgraded on arrival and the room was very clean and spacious. The food was a buffet style and was lovely worthy of a Michelin star and plenty of choices.We give a big thank you to all of the staff at the hotel who was very warm and friendly. If we were going to return to Malta we would definitely stay here again. Nic and Phil from 7212
The resort was absolutely perfect. To start, the breakfast everyday was amazing and the staff were extremely kind. The room we stayed in was so nice and the cleaners were available whenever requested. We paid a very good price for it being short notice. I really enjoyed the indoor pool which we had all to ourselves at one point.
I have to mention one member of staff by name, Imran. He was absolutely fantastic from the moment he checked us in all the way to when we checked out. He was always smiling and never failed to take interest in us. Imran could not be any more helpful.
Highly recommend to anyone wanting a really relaxing holiday.

Unfortunately, our experience at Dee Spas Urban Valley was disappointing, especially for €75 per person and being part of the Prestige Collection.
The spa area didn’t feel relaxing. The deckchairs face balconies/walls rather than the pool, there was no soft/background music around the pool, and the relaxation area behind the glass doors was unbearably hot. We tried to rest before our massage, but I couldn’t even nap as I was sweating continuously.
Facilities were also quite limited. We could only use the indoor pool/jacuzzi and steam room, and on the day we were told the sauna was unavailable. The jacuzzi switched off after around 2 minutes, so we constantly had to turn it back on. The outdoor pool also required an additional €35 to access.
We were never offered even a glass of water, and drinks weren’t included with the spa lunch, although at least we did get a glass of Prosecco.
On a positive note, the massage therapists were excellent. The massage was professional, relaxing and definitely the best part of the experience.
Having visited Hyatt, Radisson Blu and Qawra Palace, I personally wouldn’t put Urban Valley at the same Prestige Collection standard. Those locations offered a much better overall spa experience.
Unfortunately, despite the excellent massage, I wouldn’t return to Urban Valley for a spa day.
