Set in its own landscaped gardens, the Corinthia Palace Hotel certainly lives up to its reputation as one of the finest hotels in Malta. From here, you can access the historical wonders of Valetta, or shop in fashionable Sliema.
Behind that superb façade is a hotel of rare quality. And it couldn't have a more auspicious setting – opposite the Presidential Palace and Botanical gardens, right at the heart of the island.
Thinking about the superb facilities on offer at the Corinthia Palace Hotel is a big part of the joy of going there. Staying in such luxurious surroundings is a real treat for the senses; you'll feel the uniquely relaxing ambience as soon as you arrive.
The refined décor and impeccable furnishings mark this out as a very special hotel. And that same feeling of luxury extends to the beautiful air conditioned twin or double bedrooms. They have all the amenities you'd expect, including TV, direct dial telephone, minibar*, hairdryer, trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities and a safe.
Leisure facilities are impressive too. From the superb outdoor pool and terrace, to the private beachside lido (a short courtesy bus ride away). Sporty types can enjoy a few games of tennis or take a turn in the well-equipped fitness suite. It makes a visit to the blissful Athenaeum spa all the more rewarding.
And then, as evening approaches, you'll have the enviable task of choosing among the hotel's three fine restaurants. Two restaurants are based at Villa Corinthia and the 3rd seasonal restaurant is located by the pool.
Staying in the luxurious surrounding of the Corinthia Palace Hotel is one of life's must-have experiences. Situated right at the heart of Malta, it's the ultimate way to see and experience the very best that this magnificent island has to offer.
At the centre of the Island, opposite the Presidential Palace and San Anton Botanical Gardens, the Corinthia Palace Hotel is one of Malta's best known 5-star hotels.
Set in its own mature and landscaped gardens, it is the perfect base from where to explore the island. Complimentary transport is also available to Valletta, St. Julian's, Sliema Shopping Centre and the Royal Malta Golf Club.
A lovely hotel with wonderfully attentive staff. While the property feels a bit dated and could use a modern refresh, our overall stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and our experience with the tasting menu at the Michelin-starred Bahia was an absolute 10/10 highlight. However, for a 5-star resort, the sunbed situation is a huge letdown. The hotel actively hires out sun loungers to non-hotel guests. One morning alone, I counted around 30 beds pre-reserved by staff (marked with books) for external visitors, leaving paying guests wandering around frustrated in search of space. I even witnessed a family have to stand their ground with pool staff just to secure seating. Shade is also hard to come by—when we couldn't find sunbeds, we headed to the indoor Spa pool, but later tried to grab a drink at the pool bar. Despite it being 35°C, we were told the shaded tables were for reservations only and offered a table directly in the blazing sun until my wife insisted otherwise. Aside from these pool management issues, it was a very relaxing trip. I genuinely hope management re-evaluates their priorities and starts putting their overnight guests first.
Fantastic experience. Best holiday we had yet. Service at this hotel is top notch. Beautiful setting and very friendly staff. . We celebrated my wifes birthday here at the hotel and we got a very nice gift from the hotel Manager Alexandra Pisani. Thank you so much. It meant the world to her. The level of service and mindset that the staff has here at Corinthia Palace takes a long time to install in them. The strong service culture and focus on service is really a joy to experience as a guest. We have been met with friendly smiles by everybody. We almost feel like a part of the family. Thank you for all the great memories. Everything lives up to our expectations and we highly recommend you spend time here at hotel Corinthia Palace
We had a couple of early niggles with our stay. We were given the wrong instructions for the safety deposit box which we discovered after several attempts to get someone to check it. And we were on half board and told that the Secret Garden was fully booked and the main restaurant was closed. This was quickly resolved. After that, we really enjoyed our stay. The food and service in the restaurants was very good. The staff at breakfast were so smiley and welcoming. The service round the pool was mostly good and the little touches of bringing you cool flannels and refreshing fruit drinks was very welcome. The rooms were clean and the aircon worked very efficiently. A little oasis and we would return.
Beautiful setting and really nice rooms. The staff in the bar / lounge are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond time and time again. Unfortunately, the staff in the in all other areas don't have the same attention to detail or engagement with guests - they are not focus on customer service at all. During our 2 night stay they were focused on finishing their work as quick as possible so made people leave the pool area at 4pm and then were setting up temporary chairs and tables around the sun loungers. The pool area could be an oasis, but the staff don't make that possible. Spa experience is average, driven by the staff making it feel too functional and not a relaxation area.
A wonderful hotel in San Anton. Refined with subtle luxury. Great service and massive rooms. Our first room was newly refurbished but they were doing maintenance in the hall so noisy...they kindly moved us into a larger room with a massive outdoor patio and living area. There are lovely restaurants on site and an amazing pool area. We stayed for two wonderful nights and really enjoyed the hotel and area.
