I am a travel agent and booked this hotel for my customers. Despite 3 separate requests not only from me but the customers family of having a nice room high floor and some birthday decorations in the room and also receiving a response from the hotel saying they would do all they could to realise these requests, nothing was actioned . Instead, on arrival my customer was told for another 250 euro they could have a high floor room (customers declined as they thought a superior room would already be a special room ) and were given a ground floor room with very noisy air conditioning. This was a special holiday for this customer and I can’t believe how rubbish the reception staff were - shame on you. As a travel agent, I will pass this on to my industry colleagues but also wanted to let the public know that don’t bother advising the hotel of any special requests as despite emailing replies to them, they will just ignore them and try and get more money from you.
Booked two rooms for two people for 3 nights. Got a free room upgrade from Kamil who was loved and friendly an greeted us with a smile. Ended up having a studio room with a balcony overlooking the front street which was lovely. Room very modern clean and spacious. Air con is excellent in fact we turned it off because it got so cold! Rooftop pool and terrace is lovely with a nice chilled vibe with music on around the pool. Staff are lovely and friendly and can’t do enough for you.
Anthony on the top deck was brilliant. He gave us amazing service and told us he loved the Irish. His cocktails were the best. The hotel experience was amazing. He was the the best🇳🇬🇮🇪
I would not recommend this hotel in its current state, nor would I book it again. The staff were very nice. However, several small things in our room were broken or on the verge of breaking—such as the bathroom door handle. It didn't seem like much importance was placed on room maintenance. While the main building looks lovely and inviting, our room wasn't located there. The hallway always had a very strange smell. The breakfast buffet was a disaster. This is a 4-star hotel, yet the buffet was nowhere near 4-star quality. The food was tasteless and bland. There was very little that looked appetizing; most of the options were either very greasy/deep-fried or sweet. Worst of all, there was no proper bread or pastry selection—just sliced bread for toasting or very thin bread. Everything had to be toasted. The buffet lacked fresh, healthy alternatives and definitely needed a better selection of breads and pastries. As for the drinks, the sparkling water was the best part. It was absolutely inadequate and disappointing for a 4-star hotel. I didn't care for the hotel's location, either. If you simply want to stay at the hotel and enjoy the pool and wellness facilities, it’s fine. The three of us visited as a group of friends. Of course, we are likely partly to blame for not doing enough research beforehand. We always had to take an Uber or the bus (which costs €2.50 per person for a 2-hour ticket) to get to the beach or anywhere else to do something. We went somewhere different every evening because there was nothing going on in the immediate vicinity. There is a Spar supermarket nearby, along with a few small shops for snacks and drinks. There are many small souvenir shops, but they all sell the same things. You can't really stroll through the streets there; the area is far too small and there isn't enough activity. I would recommend a different hotel in Malta—and a different location—because, in our opinion, it falls short of the standards expected of a 4-star hotel.
Great location for a quiet break or to experience the maria bambina fiesta. Easy to access public transport for trips to Gozo or Valletta. Hotel staff friendly, hotel spotlessly clean. Rooms decent size but some face directly into restaurant opposite. Sabina our cleaner was amazing. So friendly.
