What a fantastic week’s holiday we had here at the Riviera Spa. We flew from Norwich with Ryan Air and had a private transfer to the hotel taking around 50 mins, but the driver was so chatty, the journey flew by, and he took us on a lovely tour of the island en route to the hotel, driving past the breath taking Popeye village.
We got to hotel reception at about 2pm. Our room wasn’t quite ready so the lovely receptionist told us to go and grab some lunch before it closed. A lovely Irish lady brought us our AI white wine, and it was delicious ! Very unusual for All inclusive. Food great lots to choose from and a lovely salad bar with oil and balsamic which always makes me happy.
The All inclusive drinks were great, proper Gordon’s Gin, Smirnoff Vodka and Bells whisky. I could not fault the all inclusive.
Wow the room was truly amazing on the top floor, with a beautiful view of Gozo, lovely comfy bed, great shower, and very clean, oh and a safety deposit box too.
The weather was beautiful, we didn’t do a lot of exploring, but will do next time, as we are definitely going back. A shout out to Michael and Angela on customer services desk, always so happy, friendly and helpful.
We absolutely loved Malta, and thank you for making our holiday so special.
Just come back from a lovely week here with my sister. We arrived at approximately 1.30 am and check in was really smooth. We had a couple of issues from the start but this was down to Thomas cook over promising and under delivering. We spoke to Mickel head of guest relations and he was amazing. He sorted out all the issues and he gave us some really great advice about visiting Gozo and Valetta and the local area. Our rooms were basic however they were clean and smelt lovely on arrival. The towels could do with an upgrade and two per person would be nice, however they were clean. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning was good. Our cleaner, Maria, was so lovely and accommodating, she did a great job of cleaning our room. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant. There was lots of choice and it was very clean. The wraps, salads etc in the downstairs bar served from 11 till 5 were really good. We had a really lovely meal in the Lebanese restaurant and the manager and staff in there are really good. We found all the staff in the hotel lovely and they all worked really hard. With regards to all inclusive and the drinks, if you are expecting to get wasted/drunk and party all night this is not the place to go! This is a nice relaxed hotel, yes you have to wait for your drinks but that is because they are all made fresh. The cocktails are really good and not made out of a pre-made post mix. There is a separate list for AI but there is a good choice. The entertainment was basic and pleasant, a singer most nights. The spa!!! The massage was good, but very overpriced. The air condition wasn’t working. The pool area was hot and the water fountains weren’t working, the jacuzzi wasn’t working, the steam room wasn’t working and whole experience was a bit of a let down.
This is an adult only hotel and perfect if you want to chill and relax. The SPA offering a range of treatments at good prices and there is a gym, with yoga, pilates etc. The pool area was clean and spacious, and despite being very busy there was no shortage of loungers. The staff couldn't have been nicer and worked hard to provide fun, low key entertainment, no banging beats at 2am ! The hotel is remote, but very close to the GOZO ferry terminal and local buses. Breakfast had a huge range of options and there are lots of restaurants and bars. The management hold regular get togethers in the bar so guests can discuss their stay, which is a great way to keep the high standards. I couldn't fault the hotel and am already planning to go back
Hotel is gorgeous, facilities excellent. We were bed and breakfast; plenty of options for lunch and dinner. Special shout out to our waiter in the buffet restaurant, Nawaz, who couldn't have done any more for us.
Amazing location right at the north of the Island. No tourist shops but the hotel provides everything you need. Entertainment is great aqua fit wax so much fun due to the instructors energy. He was amazing. I looked around everyone was smiling.sofia the lady who took our room number at all meals made us so welcome. Emma one of the waitresses was also very accommodating. Meals were good and salads were superb. Roast beef was cooked to perfection. Plates were efficiently dealt with and drinks delivered on time. Evening entertainment was also good some really good Scot’s chap with guitar amazing. Beautiful setting outside with islands in the background. This hotel was top notch in all ways.
