Maltese Masterclass !
Such an excellent hotel .
Our son has coeliacs and the staff were so attentive and brilliant with him . The head chef would meet him at breakfast and would personally deliver his food to him . He could also choose to use the gluten free section or the omelette station . A special mention to Jerry who helped him with the buffet evening meal last week . He was constantly checking that he had everything he needed and even went off to the Indian restaurant on site to get him a special desert that he knew was gluten free .
Breakfast for everyone is full of choice . Henri welcoming you in on a morning is a real crowd pleaser. The guy oozes warmth and class .
Our room for a family of 4 was excellent. Large with separate sleeping areas . The kitchen is also really useful . We spent many a night sitting on the balcony whilst the scout camp opposite confused us with their large fires and chanting in 40 degree heat . The first night we saw them on the mini amphitheatre made us confuse them for a cult . How they camped in that hear is anyone’s guess .
The hotel is out of the way and generally in a quieter area of the island but this should be seen as a positive . Having visited St Julian’s for a brief afternoon I was so relieved that we weren’t staying there. Was like Newquay in the late 90s but with less class . Lord of young groups on their first holidays . Best to avoid with families .
Ubers and Bolts are easy to book and the bus route is right next to the hotel . We ventured to all the main areas and it was really easy to get around . Buses are cheap as well .
The beach next to the hotel is stunning and if you get the chance you should walk around to the cove behind it . Even better . A previous review moans about the safety when entering the sea due to rocks . This is really unfair and a stupid reason to mark down the hotel . The rocks are for a few metres and can be avoided entirely if you walk further up the beach . The sea is quite calm so the rocks don’t move . Honestly , some people !
The pool manager is also quite strict and he spends the first hour of each morning removing towels off loungers if people aren’t there . This is great . We never once had an issue getting a lounger and we did not need to stress on a morning about the prospect of not getting one .
Restaurants . The Indian is expensive but great . Agliolio’s is excellent as is flavours and the food in Mokka or by the pool .
Overall this place is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Could have been better, was hit with several problems from day one to last day, spent 20 years coming to this resort and 40 years to Malta. Unfortunately this was not the best. Hope it improves for next year.

Great service
A large resort with excellent personal service. The food in all the restaurants was great. Our breakfast host Henri deserves a special mention for making us feel welcome.

Best location with private beach
professional and friendly staff; the rooms are clean and air conditioned. The private beach saves you from the hassle of renting beach chairs and umbrella. There is an Italian restaurant with great food inside the hotel. The breakfast had good variety of proteins, fresh fruits and pastries. The only issue with noticed with our room was the lack of extractor fan in the bathroom.
