White Olive Elite Laganas offers a luxurious stay with a range of amenities, including a restaurant, fitness centre, and a sun terrace with a swimming pool.
Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast each morning, which also features a bar. The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a tour desk, and complimentary WiFi throughout.
Each air-conditioned guestroom is fully equipped with a desk, coffee machine, minibar, safety deposit box, flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom. Rooms also feature a balcony, and upgrades are available at a supplement.
Take time to pamper yourself with a visit to the full-service spa. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 3 outdoor swimming pools and a fitness centre. Additional features at this property include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and gift shops/newsstands.
Unfortunately, our experience with White Olive Elite was disappointing from the very beginning and continued throughout our stay.
Booking & Voucher – ★☆☆☆☆
The problems started before we had even arrived. We booked directly through the hotel with a non-refundable rate. During our communication with the hotel, we noticed that the prices on their website were changed several times.
Eventually, we booked two rooms. Due to personal circumstances, we later no longer needed one of them. To be fair, the hotel offered us a voucher as a gesture of goodwill.
However, the voucher turned out to be practically worthless. The amount we had paid was transferred into a voucher, but the prices for the following year had increased so drastically that using the voucher would still require paying a significant amount on top. In reality, this made the voucher far less valuable than it initially appeared.
Food – ★☆☆☆☆
Unfortunately, the food was one of the biggest disappointments of our stay. The quality and taste were simply not what we would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel.
After two days, I stopped eating at the hotel altogether and chose to get food elsewhere instead. For an all-inclusive resort, this is obviously not what you expect when booking your holiday.
Drinks – ★☆☆☆☆
The drinks were equally disappointing, both the alcoholic drinks and the soft drinks.
The quality was so poor that I ended up buying my own drinks outside the hotel every day. Again, this completely defeats the purpose of paying for an all-inclusive stay.
Room & Location – ★★☆☆☆
We had specifically selected our room category before booking and paid an additional charge for it. Therefore, we were very disappointed when we arrived and discovered that our rooms were located in a corner of the children's pool area.
After speaking to reception, the staff kindly assigned us a different room. The new room itself was perfectly fine, and the rooms in general were actually one of the few positive aspects of our stay.
Management & Service – ★★☆☆☆
Some members of staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely tried to assist us. They were one of the few positive aspects of the hotel and obviously cannot be blamed for the overall experience.
Unfortunately, we also witnessed a very uncomfortable situation involving the manager. After he found out that the reception staff had changed our room, he became extremely angry and criticized the employees for doing so. Watching staff members being treated this way simply because they had tried to help guests left a very negative impression.
Overall Experience – ★☆☆☆☆
The only real positives for us were the room after the change and some of the friendly staff members.
Apart from that, the food, drinks, pricing, voucher situation and management were extremely disappointing. Having to buy both food and drinks outside the hotel after paying for an all-inclusive stay says a lot about our experience.
Overall, I cannot recommend White Olive Elite. Based on our stay, I genuinely do not understand how this hotel has been awarded a 5-star rating. The experience was nowhere near the standard I would expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel.
5 stars for everything for this hotel
The only thing that let it down slightly was the lack of nighly entertainment, stayed for 7 nights and only one decent and fully interactive night was the Greek night with a lovely Greek family band with live music and dancing
The staff were amazing, particularly the pool bar staff who made amazing margaritas 🍸premium cocktails are an additional €5 but well worth it, attention to detail was fantastic, especially the lovely Olga who always had a smile on her face and worked so hard
The rooms were impeccably clean and modern
I usually struggle with all inclusive food but didn’t here plenty of choices and always so fresh and tasty with so much choice and catered for all nationalities, the snack bar during the day was amazing too with such good options,and not your usual chicken nuggets and chips, everything from gyros to pizza freshly cooked and super quick
Pool side was impeccably clean and very well maintained,always plenty of sun-beds
A 5 minute walk to the beach and shops,
Ready to book next year with my Mother who has some mobility issues but seeing how accessible the whole hotel is I know it’s gonna be perfect for her 🤍🫒
Location: The location is very great. About 12 min by car to the airport, 5 min to the beach and approximately 15-20 min to the center of Laganas.
Rooms: The rooms are clean and stocked with various toiletries. Cleaning was done every day with linen and towels changed. It would be a good option to replenish the room with drinking water every day. The bottle of water was only provided upon arrival.
Staff: The staff is incredible, everyone is friendly, provides quick service, and is always ready to help with any questions and provide recommendations. We especially want to note the competence Alexandra and the entire team that worked during our stay - they are incredible and do their job 1000…% their work and attitude towards guests covered up certain shortcomings that were due to the hotel's regulations.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere throughout the trip was calm and pleasant. There was also entertainment with animators at lunchtime, which created a good mood for the guests.
The only thing that was a little lacking was evening entertainment. Given the scale of the hotel and the large number of guests +25 age, it would be great to organize an evening program for a few hours before the quiet hours.
For example, the upper terrace could be filled with a DJ console and light music and light decoration, and the lower terrace could be changed to a space where guests could dance and conversation. This would create a great atmosphere and make the evenings at the hotel more interesting, especially for young guests.
I think such a small change could significantly improve the overall impression of the holiday.
Food: The kitchen for a 5 star hotel was a bit of a disappointment due to the monotony of hot dishes.
Overall, the vacation was good and the unspoiled beauty of Zakynthos and the surrounding areas exceeded all our expectations!

This hotel is beautiful. A relatively small hotel but really well set up so feels a nice atmosphere.
Pools lovely and always sun beds available. Only one occasion where someone left their inflatables out overnight for their preferred seat. Unnecessary as always space and we were a group of 5.
Food - always a good selection and to a good standard. No need to go hungry!
Drink- no lengthily queues at the bar. All inclusive a basic range with premium range that can be brought. Some drinks on here usually seen in all inclusive ranges so that was a bit annoying. Really good range of soft drinks and hot drinks.
Staff were really helpful and available at all times. Hotel opperated quiet hours 11-7 which meant for a quiet nights sleep and the security chap patrolled to ensure all safe and quiet. We named him quiet Batman on watching his patrols ;)
There are some tired areas that could do with a bit of tlc which is only reason for the 4 not 5.
Hotel is walkable to the beach, local town and strip.

Nice quick check in with friendly reception staff.we were then taken to our room 2126 by one of the maintenance guys.the room itself was on right on the far corner over looking main rd.pool areas nice with entertainment doing theyre best to keep everyone amused.now when we booked hotel i like to think i read up on reviews and watch youtube videos etc.so i had a rough idea the food in the main restaurant wasnt going to be up to much but i didnt expect it to be so bad.there was no live cooking stations just a grump chef cooking to fill up the trays of food already out.this was supposed to be 5 star cuisine lol i have stayed in 3 star hotels that done themed nights and bbqs etc.nothing like that here just cold bland food.even the small restaurant next to pool bar seems to have went right down hill.dont know if its cost cutting by the hotel chain but even the food in there was poor.no board outside that changes daily.nope you are given a small plastic menu with most of the items on it not available.so if its a foody holiday your after dont go here as the food is shockingly bad.cold and rythme or reason to the order its out in.this is a 3star hotel at best that could be a lot better.
