Majestic Hotel & Spa, is located at one of the most popular and beautiful spots of the Ionian Sea, under the bright sun and just 300metres away from the clear blue sea, at Laganas beach. It is only 5km away from the airport, 8km from Zakynthos town, 400m. from gas station and 12km from the closest hospital. The hotel consist of 287 rooms, single-double-families rooms. Majestic Hotel & Spa has full potential of framing your conferences/meetings, your business meals and dinners, your coffee breaks etc. with unique catering services, exceptionally organized and originally created. Majestic Hotel & Spa, is the favourite destination for a wide range of visitors, as couple, young groups and families.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Spa review. Don’t book it. If you’ve ever had the experience of a UK Butlins, this is on a par. From the minute you get down there, you regret it.
After a WhatsApp message, we were directed to book online (not wholly apparent on the website). We get there exactly at our time slot to be told by the abrupt lady on the desk (the tattoo lady we think) that we were late so she gave our booking to someone else. We showed her the time and she simply said ‘oh my watch is wrong, but you’re still going to have to wait now as I gave your booking away’. We had prepaid €150 for 2 massages.
We waited. Stupidly. The place was fairly grim, unloved, even the loo didn’t have a working lock and it felt soul less. Sane lady showed us to our room, where we were left a total of 30 minutes.
2 girls came in, arguing with the initial lady. I’m half Greek, so I understood a bit of their conversation.. but one of the girls cane into the room trying to angrily slam the door like a child (door can’t slam) and they were clearly angry that the woman had booked us in this slot. Consider, we’re half naked and they haven’t even said hello. The conversation continued between the 2 girls saying about our booking. It was unprofessional from the start. They clearly didn’t want to do the treatment.,
50 minutes later, we had had 2 completely out of sync massages (we were side by side), by 2 poorly trained, unprofessional and unmanaged therapists who at best left us feeling like we’d be slathered in oil. No pressure or asking about pressure, no knots touched, no lower back massage, no shoulders worked, no nothing. My 10 year old plays the clarinet better with 10 fingers than we had from these adult 4 hands.
We would have complained at the end if there was anyone to complain to. The poor old lady sat at the desk on the way out spoke no English and the hotel reception said the spa etc was nothing to do with them.
All in all… it was a rainy day in Greece, with an equally wet ‘massage’ where we both looked at each other in shock at the end. A waste of time.
Terrible customer service from start to finish. I messaged them on WhatsApp requesting 2 massages and was directed to the website. I booked for 2 people, paid the amount that appeared, and thought it was a deposit. When we arrived, the staff member was extremely rude, wouldn’t let us explain anything, and insisted we had only paid for 1. As a result, only one person got the massage while the other waited for an hour. The place itself seems okay, but the customer service is zero. I do not recommend it.
Family time in the aun the pools are really clean and safe for the kids to use while we are sunbathing enjoying pur beers
It was our first time in Zakynthos and Majestic made it simple to get around. Everything in Laganas was within walking distance, including the beach, shops, bars, and restaurants. Staff helped us with directions when needed, and we never felt lost. The hotel itself was clean well organised, and easy to settle into. There was plenty of food there in the buffet, they have "all you can eat". Great choice!
Just returned from a 6 night stay at the Majestic spa hotel zante.
Now the hotel itself is nice it's in a perfect location for getting to anywhere in laganas. Before we left I had read all the reviews on trip advisor Google etc so I was a little bit hesitant on what we were going to find once we got there.. so on to the positives
Good location Very clean and comfortable Cleaners are all lovely and very efficient and polite But I'm afraid that is where it stops..
Now anyone who has ever been to Greece knows the rule Greek 4* is generally a standard 3* which this hotel would just scrape through as..
It's all inclusive but I wouldn't call it all inclusive as the choice on offer was shocking
If you are used to nice drinks and food for your all inclusive I'd look elsewhere..
Evening meals were the first thing we encountered and it wasn't a good experience... slop is how I'd describe it and believe me I'm not in any way a fussy eater... people say that you eat with your eyes well you wouldn't eat here.. I put a little bit of everything on my plate with my partner looking at me like I was mad but I had to try.. pork with mushrooms and onions in gravy tasted ok but barely warm.. chicken drumsticks with pasta.. very bland and not very warm either..this was the same for most of the dishes I tried... so we went out for a lovely meal at scirocco the restaurant just outside the hotel..

Now Breakfast wasn't to bad... I like a full English.. There was fried boiled and scrambled eggs beans little hot dog style sausage mushrooms no bacon.. Now the eggs were sound.. I had scrambled beans a few cold sausage and a couple of pieces of toast.. not amazing but it was edible
On to the drinks..I did try a beer from the bar which was bad although it was served I the world's flimsy plastic glass the fruit juice from the machine with breakfast was pretty unpleasant but was being drank by others so I put that down to personal preference as I would of preferred a fresh orange juice with breakfast.
I did notice that alot of people were drinking the wine from the barrel located in the dining room which was a red and a rosè I think (I don't do wine) and also there was a slush puppie machine incase you fancy a all inclusive cocktail.. the cocktail sex on the beach people said it was but didn't taste like any sotb I've ever tasted.
One afternoon after sitting with a beer we decided to have a game of pool. The white ball went in the pocket and didn't come back out so I asked the barman (karl pilkington) to which he came over looked and then disappeared to reception only to return 5 minutes later grunting gave me €2 cleared all the balls off the table and tell me the pool table is out of order 🙄
So my overall advice for this hotel is if your planning on staying here treat it as bed and breakfast and enjoy some of the brilliant restaurants close by for your evening meals
I hope this helps. Yes hotel staff are miserable but the cleaners aren't so be nice to them and they will do all they can for you..
