Great hotel, food perfect and fantastic staff
We stayed at Domes Aulūs Zante for 7 days and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is large, beautifully designed, and the staff are always friendly and willing to help with anything you need.
There is a great variety of food, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel also offers evening shows and entertainment. We would definitely recommend staying here!
We managed to get reservations at all of the à la carte restaurants. I strongly recommend booking them as soon as you arrive, as availability can be limited. The first time we checked the app used for restaurant reservations, everything appeared to be fully booked. However, after refreshing and trying several times, available slots eventually appeared, so don’t give up if everything looks fully booked at first — keep checking!
One thing to keep in mind is that smoking is not allowed anywhere in the restaurants, not even on the outdoor terraces.
There are plenty of places to relax on the beach, but if you want one of the more comfortable sunbeds or cabanas, you need to wake up quite early, around 6–7 AM, as many guests reserve them early in the morning. During our 7-day stay, we only managed to get a cabana twice, and both times we woke up at around 7 AM to get one.
Another important thing to know is that the beach in front of the hotel is protected because it is a nesting area for Caretta caretta sea turtles. After 7 PM, guests are no longer allowed on the beach. If you visit in September, you may even be lucky enough to see baby turtles hatching and making their way to the sea, which is a very special experience. 🐢
It was also my birthday during our stay, and without me mentioning anything to the hotel, they surprised me by leaving a cake, a bottle of champagne, and a birthday card in our room. It was such a lovely and thoughtful surprise.
A huge thank you to the entire team for this gesture and for making our whole stay such a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed our time at Domes Aulūs Zante and would happily recommend it!
Great Hotel with perfect location.. (Zakynthos town and airport are a short drive away) Rooms are very quiet with comfy beds. As vegetarians there where always plenty of options. Drinks are all Premium Brands. Nice sandy beach with likely encounters with sea turtles and baby sea turtles (september) due to the sand sadly not much other sealife. Snorkeling gear in Zakynthos is recommended. Visit the local beaches with rocky shorelines as most fish live in the rocky areas! Hire a rental car and explore the island…

One of the best hotels we have stayed in, and we've travelled in Europe, North America and the Caribbean. The hotel is located right by the beach and very well kept. The rooms are a decent size (though hanging space is a bit tight, especially for long dresses) and looked after by great housekeepers. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. The restaurants are well served. We used the main buffet each day but also went to the a la carte Italian and had lunch twice at the Meze. The food was always well presented and just hot enough to avoid a burnt mouth! All in all a wonderful holiday that will be remembered as one of the best!
