The hotel is situated approximately 100 m away from the beach of Argasi and approximately 50 m from bars, restaurants and shops but its location ensures tranquillity. At the resort where the hotel is located there is a wide range of bars, restaurants, souvenir shops. With a traditional style exterior but luxurious interior, the hotel is perfect for a relaxing break. The welcoming and calming atmosphere is ideal for all families and couples alike. The hotel offers a swimming pool with separate children's pool surrounded by a beautiful garden.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a seasonal outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, a communal living room and tour/ticket assistance.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Beautiful, exceptionally clean hotel with excellent food, but some disappointing extras
We’ve just returned from our stay at Hotel Palmyra and overall we had a lovely holiday.
The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. The pool area is particularly impressive — very modern, stylish and a lovely place to relax. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and everything we had was really enjoyable.
Unfortunately, there were a few things that did take the shine off the experience.
When we arrived, we were offered a pool-view room upgrade for €80, which we decided against. We were then allocated room 102, which appeared to be one of the smallest rooms and unfortunately overlooked the car park. The room itself was clean, but the view certainly wasn’t what we had hoped for.
We were also surprised by the number of additional charges. Pool towels were €20 to rent, the safe key was €20 plus a €5 deposit, and keeping our room for just three extra hours after the 10am checkout was another €20. We appreciate that hotels can charge for extras, but we felt there were quite a few additional costs on top of the holiday.
Another disappointment was that nobody showed us around or explained where everything was when we arrived. A quick introduction to the facilities and how everything worked would have made a much better first impression.
That said, the staff were pleasant, the hotel was spotless, the pool area was lovely and the food really was a highlight.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but we feel the hotel could improve the arrival experience, be clearer about the additional charges and perhaps give more consideration to the rooms allocated to guests. With a better room and a little more information on arrival, it could have been a fantastic stay. ☀️🥂
This is a lovely clean hotel in the cenre of Argassi. Just off the main road but very near to shops and restaurants. Rooms were cleaned regularly and the pool has recently been completely rebuilt and is much larger than the picture shows. Our only complaint would be the lack of enough sunbeds - the hotel has 75 rooms, but only 25 sets of sunloungers. As there is no beach to speak of, most guests chose to spend the day by the pool, so there was a rush to get two sunloungers at 8am each morning once the maids had cleaned the area. Don't forget that there is a tourist tax of 5 euros a night - and this has to be paid in euro notes rather than by card!
Place is lovely but people put towels out at 8am and leave them all day but don’t stay on them all day leisurely going for breakfast then going to the shops maybe return for a while then out for lunch the hotel needs to stop it because it’s not fair on other guests
Great hotel immaculately clean with lovely staff, only a few niggles which should be addressed,Sunbeds being reserved before pool is even open (9am) towels on beds all day unused. Breakfast is fairly cold, a microwave would be a good addition.Thank you for a nice weeks Break 🍾👌
I have mixed feelings about this review. We picked this hotel because after a huge refurbishment the hotel looked stunning and it lived up to expectations. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel and is constantly being cleaned as are the rooms with fresh towels daily.
Plenty of hot and cold breakfast options in the lovely breakfast room or the outside patio. The hotel is also in a fabulous location right in the heart of Argassi with everything on your doorstep.
However, we unfortunately didn’t get to spend much of our time enjoying this beautiful hotel because of the sunbed situation. 100% of the beds are being ‘reserved’ in the early hours and not actually being used until these guests enjoy a long lie and a leisurely breakfast ie 9.30am-10am meanwhile guests like ourselves who are at the pool early can’t get a bed. It’s extremely frustrating to look out to a pool covered in towels and no one in attendance and have to leave and go elsewhere. Luckily Argassi have some great beach clubs where you can use the sunbeds for free as this was a lifesaver for us.
The hotel try hard to add extra beds but management really need to discourage the reserving of beds in the first instance as it is so unfair. So unfortunately I feel I didn’t experience everything this lovely hotel has to offer.
